I have no clue. This game is not playing like mafia - it feels more like everybody yelling nonsense and hopping on any old wagon. I am spending most of my time trying to figure out benmage's motivations for leading the town.

im voting L off the basis that he is posting no content due to fear of saying the wrong thing but still trying to look active something plausible considering all the strategy talk.

I do not fear posting - I have nothing to say because there is a knotted mess (8 pages of almost no content) to analyze. If you all would stop hee hawing and jabber jibbering I might put some effort into it. But you all seem to know each other and it may just be that.

Until then, I can only try to solidify this jello with my post.

In the beginning I suspected vifam for not liking balrog's plan, and the wording he chose (I thought he was a she too) to make a case for townies getting their wishes. It almost sounded as though he were outside the group, speaking of the group. And then his inane question to me - trying to sound productive - asking what I thought about Sanjay getting the role Sanjay. Really?

From there the thread went at the speed of light with all the chatter.

PSA: If you are a towny person thing and you can't keep up with the game, it is more pro-town for you to replace out for someone who

keep up than for you to just get mislynched for not having the time/willpower to keep up.

Benmage seems to have a rep that is trusted, so I'll rank his thoughts a tad higher than most, all while looking at him as possible scum. So far he seems clean.

Balrog appears to have a similar reputation, but feels scummy to me.

My inexperience is limited to this site. It is a different culture, and very intimidating when in a game like this. I've been playing mafia a long time.

Going with my gut on this one.

I didn't like the way he tried to lead the town and try to game it - although I tried to look for a clever loophole in his idea I did not find it (a loophole that would result in one backfire targeting multiple people). After that, his wording made me think he was jealous of townies' ability to make wishes. And this insight by another person about his votes on and off vifam make me do this.

@kiwi: Then vote me. I don't ever recall stating that I was confused, only that I was not always capable of discerning awful town from scum. As the quality of his posting has not improved since then, I can only presume that this is how he always plays. What exactly was so terrible about my reason for voting him initially?

In reviewing iso:

Klick does not scum hunt, merely says a lot of one liners. He did however ask benmage why me replacing out was a scum tell. Could he have done it as a way to gain my favor? (Scummy) To genuinely ask benmage the question? (Towntell) My read on klick is null-scum.

Balrog in my mind is not confirmed town. Sure, it would be awful if the mod said what he did and balrog was scum, but the phrase also reads well for scum. Experienced players will, as scum, try to look for anyway they might lose. If my balrog thoughts are right, scumbalrog could also have questioned the mod to death to find out the nature of the wishes, and subsequently posted a game breaking strategy to get it refused by the mod. It wins town points with some (most) and allows him to post as he likes.

It has been two days since I asked him that question. And he continues to ignore me. Those who call me stupid for voting balrog now see why I am voting him. It isn't far fetched. Not to mention others' observation of balrog's meta and his lack of scum hunting, makes me believe my vote is in the right place.

Sanjay's case on PV sounds legit.
