Welcome to the UK Scummers Meet Invitational. Everyone in Chestnut Lodge is eagerly waiting in anticipation of playing a 9 player smalltown game, modded and designed by Patrick (really by CES). Everyone seems agreed that the whole thing will be much more pleasant without a serial killer, leaving a fair contest between a two person scumgroup and a 7 person town. After a delicious Sunday Roast, everyone retires to the lounge area with tea and scones topped with jam and clotted cream.

Standard Rules

1.) This game is a day start. Day 1 will start when everyone has confirmed by PM.
2.) During the day you can vote for a player that you think should be lynched. Votes should be in the form

, but I'll count votes if the intention is clear and there's bolding/some attempt at bolding. Unvotes before registering a new vote are helpful but not required. Note that any attempts at fake votes will be frowned on, and most likely counted anyway. Don't try it.
3.) When a player reaches a majority of votes, they are lynched. I will reveal their alignment, and the game will move into night. Players can still talk during twilight.
4.) All days have automatic 2 week deadlines. These won't be extended unless the site goes down. No majority at deadline means no lynch.
5.) No talking to other players, dead or alive, outside of the thread, unless your role permits it.
6.) Once dead, you stop posting. A bah post is fine though.
7.) If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.
8.) Anyone not posting for 48 hours is proddable, though I'll sometimes wait until 72 hours depending on circumstances. Players who fail to post promptly after being prodded may be replaced. I also reserve the right to replace people who are within activity limits but who are trying to find loopholes, but that's only for extreme circumstances and I hope not to have to use it.
9.) I'll try to post votecounts as often as possible. Feel free to ask for a votecount at any time. Disappointingly, I may make mistakes. Point them out very gently.
10.) Avoid excessive profanity, flaming etc.
11.) Don't quote any PMs from me. Don't try to break the game using cryptography.

This is a smalltown game. Everyone's role is public and seperate from alignment. Role assignments are as follows:

Fenchurch

You are Cogito Ergo Sum, a mason. Your mason partner is AurorusVox (played by Primate in this game), and you may communicate with him day and night in the following quicktopic: XXXX. While your alignments are unknown, it is known that there is only one mason werewolf in the deck, so at least one of you must be town.

Primate

You are AurorusVox, a mason. Your mason partner is Cogito Ergo Sum (played by Fenchurch in this game), and you may communicate with him day and night in the following quicktopic: XXXX. While your alignments are unknown, it is known that there is only one mason werewolf in the deck, so at least one of you must be town.

Cogito Ergo Sum

You are Primate, a one shot kingmaker. Once during the game, at night, you may choose to make someone king; the following day if still alive, they will have sole control over that day's lynch. If your shot fails for any reason, you don't get a second try.

AurorusVox

You are Fenchurch, beloved princess. Mislynching you makes people feel guilty, to the point of forgoing a lynch the next day if it happens. In game terms, if you are lynched and flipped town, the following day won't happen, leading to two consecutive night phases. If you're lynched and revealed to be scum, nobody will feel even the slightest bit of remorse, and your role will have no effect.

Max

You are Xdaamno, public vengeseer. Being lynched was never much fun, possibly up until now. If you are lynched, you immediately receive a seer investigation, the results of which will be broadcast before going to night.

Nexus

You are ChannelDelibird, story writer. You write stories for a living, and there's no reason why you shouldn't do it when dead as well. Once per game day, when dead, you may PM me a story to post in thread up to 100 words. Your story will be unabridged, unless it violates the game rules.

ChannelDelibird

You are Nexus, a one shot commuter. However much fun you might be having at the meet, there's still work to be done, and you may not be able to stay every night. During one night of your choice, you may leave the game, effectively making you untargeteable and unkillable for that night only. Note that you are unable to perform any night-actions if you aren't in the game, such as performing a factional nightkill. The following day you will return to the game as normal.

Xdaamno

You are inspiratieloos, a bodyguard. Each night you may choose a player to protect if you so wish. If they are targetted by a nightkill, you will die in their place.

You are Max, a flawed jailer. Each night you may choose to jailkeep someone, roleblocking and protecting them. There's only one tiny snag. You can't roleblock nightkills...

The above roles were all assigned randomly. Two of you have also received the following in their PM:

You are a werewolf, along with your partner XXX. Each night the two of you can talk in private and decide on a player to kill, as well as which of you will be performing the kill. Please use the following quicktopic for communication: XXX. You may use any role abilities alongside your factional nightkill, unless the role specifically says otherwise. You win when the town no longer has the majority, regardless of what roles are left. Please confirm by PM.

Mod-Patrick - if the jailer protects the target of the kill, does the kill go through?

The kill would not go through.

Patrick-Mod: Is this a mistake? I'd much prefer to play with the Night 1 kingmaker, for the reasons CES originally gave

I thought town played this rather well, aside from the great bouts of apathy. Scum were in a really poor position night 1 despite a mislynch day 1 and the investigation target not being ideal for the town. Scum having both the protective roles was really awkward, especially with the PoE style game that ended up playing out. Killing CES was probably the wrong play in hindsight, but keeping him around the entire game seemed really unappealing as well. I suppose Dan would have been lynched, possibly Fenchurch nightkilled, and then inspie would have needed to mislynch Nexus and then AV to win?

Pretty mundane really, just a mistake. CES mentioned it to me once the game had started, but I don't like the idea of changing a role once a game is underway, especially not at the request of the person who has that role, lol
