TSO I'm having a hard time seeing the scum motivation in wasting a valuable dayvig. And the whimsical manner in which he used it doesn't really mirror typical scum line of thinking.

While I'm not certain the dayvig was optimal (we'll have to wait and see the resulting flips from the gambit), waynegg is the towniest town to ever have towned a town. It doesn't take a fucking cop to see this.

The point I made was not about YTWC being right/wrong about which alignment the dayvig was. The point was about him scolding a hyptothetical townvig, and ONLY townvig, for bad play. From an unbiased, town perspective, a quick dayvig D1 is sub-optimal play for any alignment: badtown because you've ended D1 with hardly any info and you're most likely to shoot town, badscum because you've shot your load too quick when it would be better spent 1) bringing MyLo/LyLo unexpectedly one day sooner or 2) right before you're about to be lynched.

#87 shows YTWC was aware that a goodscum would not dayvig in such a manner. But if this is true, why does he not also state, "if whoever nuked Amrun is [scum], you should probably feel bad" [because you wasted a dayvig]. Or state that the dayvig was bad for any alignment, "whoever nuked Amrun should probably feel bad" ? Because he already knows the dayvig isn't scum; because he is scum himself.

A fakeclaim is only safe if no member of the town has the same name. For instance, claiming a pattern of Red would not mean that "Maroon" is a safe claim because if my rolename was Maroon I could CC and lead a lynch against the scum. So yes, especially if we're still lynching you then you should claim what you think the pattern is.

Part of the reason I wanted Troubles to claim the pattern was because if his pattern was consistent with the non-religious pattern that MY role PM indicates, it would suggest that he is town. He passes. While scum often receive safe fakeclaims in themes, because some players may be unfamiliar with the flavor of the game, it's usually something along the lines of, "You are aware that Maroon is not in the game," (if I'm keeping up the extended metaphor) - I seldom see fakeclaims that include description of traits inherent to town flavor, unrelated to the actual game.

Yes town roles DO seem to be Muslim, and yes if scum have fakeclaims it's likely they ARE Muslim-dominant countries, but it would be unlikely for Troubles to have a Muslim fakeclaim AND fakeflavor that talks about "defending his religion." So he's town.

There's little to no possibility that waynegg is actually scum because he found the crumbs before I ever claimed anything. From his POV, it's MUCH more likely for townegg to recognize sane-crumbs than it would be for scumegg to look at insane-crumbs and actually recognize them as insane-crumbs.

Just go through the thought process yourself. You're town and see someone calling you 100% obvtown. So, being the good little detective that you are, you wonder why. A little later you see that player offhandedly mention cops. Ok so that probably means he's a cop or some other sort of investigative role, that makes sense.

BRO is town because out of voting Beazu/Troubles he decided to restart the wagon on Troubles instead of joining the Baezu wagon. I do not think scum in his position would try for the harder lynch.

And independent of my personal reads, the rate at which the BRO wagon grew just FEELS scum driven. Like seriously, it only took 13 hours to run him from 0 -> 5. I'd estimate that there are 2-3 scum in the pool of players who have recently voted him [ T S O, runnerman, Troubles, Baezu, SnP, Titus ]. If BRO were scum I would expect to have much different vibes, and at the very least see a strong contender for the noose today.
