I'm asking Mirhawk because that's where my vote has been and your read wall seems like a good jumping off point for further discussion with my main scum read.

The strong reads bug me because they don't fit the amount of content those players have posted. It stretches my suspension of disbelief to think you have those reads, and consequently makes me think you miscalibrated what would be a plausible amount of fake confidence.

The waffly reads bug me because you spend so much time writing about how waffly you are, without working to make yourself less waffly by scumhunting those players. This makes it look like you care more about writing about your reads than improving them.

The fake-sounding reads just pattern match as the kind of reads scum like to make up to look like they have a position.

Also, calling me lynch-bait which I don't understand from our (almost nonexistent) meta experience together.

We have meta you are not aware of. It allows me to see who is pushing you because they think you are easy or because they think you are scum. I shared it because not everyone may see it the same way.

The only reasons I can think of as to why you if town might think I'm an SK are:

(1) Eagerness to claim suggests not being scared of a NK. I'm actually not scared to claim since I'm not a super special special. Weaker roles = me not afraid to dare scum to NK me. If I were something really powerful, like a cop or something, I wouldn't claim like this, no.

Why does my counter-vote on you make you feel so good? If you're thinking I'm an SK, that means you think I'm scumhunting, so what's bad about my vote on you?

There should be a Scummy award for people who have the inner strength and mental fortitude to read and understand posts like that one.

Poor focus and thought progression throughout that post.

Weirdly strong buddying of KingdomAces ("thank you, thank you for understanding") and Mirhawk ("pure awesome"), with some milder buddying of ETL ("a voice of reason") and ffery ("seems me and morph might get along this game").

A lot of random comments that aren't obviously scum but feel very off on a gut level, e.g. the first line about MafiaSSK, the irrelevant comment about ETL's alt slips, "

", "curious about Bert's test, hopefully he fleshes this out later on", etc.

Ignores the weird behavior of KingdomAces early on and instead heavily praises him for his "helpful" comments about claiming early and self-voting. (And by "ignores" I mean doesn't mention at all - it would be one thing to discuss it and decide it was null or even town, but not mentioning it at all? No.)

Thought progression on Bulbazak is pretty bad. Ignores a number of interesting interactions from him (e.g. 76 and 135) in order to focus purely on him not immediately explaining one of his reads. A strongly worded objection to Bulbazak's post 64 stating that KingdomAces is town, which would be fine on its own (although considering about a third of Maruchan's post is ridiculous buddying of KingdomAces, feels out of place). Then you "warm up to him" after Bulbazak posts about 3-4 sentences saying, basically, he's played with KingdomAces and Bert before.

Randomly says "Mirhawk seems to want to prolong RVS" in response to Bert's 116... after describing all Mirhawk's other posts as "pure awesome", "best RVS I've seen yet", "good!posting" etc.

Suggests that Bert claiming his DV power so early is strongly town, since he could have kept it secret and pretended to be surprised later, played it off as a bastard mod thing. Then says this in response to KingdomAces asking why Bert claimed:

Plus, he an just as easily be a scum double voter. Or he can have a PR with nighttime actions, and the ability to doublevote. You never know. Bert didn't *QUITE* claim persay.

...which is bad for several reasons but doesn't seem consistent with the strong town-read on Bert.

Interesting suggestion, however, that Bert's double-voter power may actually be hidden -- that is to say, he has two votes but only one is listed in vote counts. I'm not sure what suggesting this says about Maruchan.

That's really easy. you have to hit 'quote' to have a quote. then you fill in your post in the quote box, and then you CTRL+A, CTRL+X, go to private, CTRL+V. in my case it's "go to the IA account" instead of "private". now, it's very easy to become regulated to write a post and then immediately TAB+ENTER. so it's really easy to err that way.

I'll stress for you that he DOES NOT HAVE A GAME WITH MORPHCAT. it's like I'm going to quote Mr. Flay and say oops wrong game when...there is no right game. at all.

Your posts seem to be stretching for reasons to suspect people, as if you're finding any reason you can to suspect them, rather than trying to figure out their motivation and alignment. You did this with ETL by just throwing out that you thought they were making up reads and then not providing examples. You did this with Maru with what looked like a push to either PL for not reading his role PM or asking for a modkill. And you've been doing it to me this day phase by feeling out other's opinions on my claim, as if you were trying to see how much support you'd have for a Bulba lynch. It doesn't look like scumhunting more than just trying to get lynches off the ground.

I have no interest in lynching you today. The reasoning behind your town-read on Interdimensional Arsehole is fundamentally flawed: Flavor cop would resolve last in NAR, therefore if any other player targeted you during the night, Interdimensional Arsehole can still be scum.

My questions to them are intended to work out whether they are town who genuinely believe you townfirmed them, or scum happy to take advantage of the situation. I'm also looking at whether your assumption that they were the first to target you is plausible from your POV: At the moment I think it does, thus not wanting to lynch you, but it does seem like you jumped to that conclusion really quickly.

I think I explained my problems with ETL's reads in 206, and when combined with my previous post, I was in fact using concrete examples. Among other things, though, I misunderstood her comment about me as saying someone was trying to mislynch me

In an early point in the game when people were still goofing off he put out from his standards as much information as he could from previous Natty-Setups. That comes from a mindset of wanting to see the game progress in a pro-town manner. I'm sure this is hard to understand, but the alignment that wants town to win is _______.

Which is a bad reason to call KA 'obvtown'. Telling people not to flavor claim on page 2 (when no one was going to at that point anyway?) is not a town-tell for anyone, and unlikely to be alignment-indicative at all for KA. It only means that if he's scum he wants to appear 'helpful' and 'concerned' in a pro-town way.

IA is not clear. Lynching Bulbazak will not confirm anyone.

Mirhawk is probably a mislynch wagon. The choice to wagon Bulbazak instead of me, Shadoweh, IA or someone else feels genuine: The only scenario where this makes sense to me is if she is scum with IA and wants to 'confirm' him. That said, IA is driving the lynch on her, and I don't get why he would be bussing in this game state.

If ETL was a serial killer and not able to block a night kill, I don't understand why she played the way she did, making herself an obvious night kill target. She even said she thought she would be killed.

On the other hand, I wonder if she was intentionally falsifying her reads to make herself a less attractive kill. For example, she thought IA was scum at first, but then backed off by 515. Was she hoping he wouldn't kill her? Etc.

ZZZX derped and made a post here that was intended for another game. But in the post he somehow managed to reply to morph the cat, who was not in the other game, without realizing his mistake. So some people (ETL, IA mostly) thought it was actually a reply to morph in the scum PT which he'd accidentally posted in the game thread.

It was dumb. Mostly a deadline lynch.

Mirhawk was lynched for being scummy. He claimed a town-sounding role at L-1 but Bert hammered anyway.

Here's my reasoning:

1) I have town-reads on Bert and TSO's predecessor, and think Bulbazak was not part of the original scum team. (He may be scum now, if someone else targeted him N1.)

2) I think there was at least one scum on the Mirhawk wagon.

3) I think Oversoul and morph the cat are not partners because of posts like these: 414 ('huzzah!') and the interaction in 1292

4) I now think Oversoul and Shadoweh may not be partners because of their interaction on the last page: mostly that Oversoul didn't seem to expect it

Running through possible teams, that leaves only two possible worlds: Either MafiaSSK is scum, or KingdomAces & Oversoul are scum.

I characterize my scum game as competent at best, but this hydra includes Cabd who's considerably more than competent as scum.

I don't trust my ability to read either of you by your interactions with other players (especially after your argument with Tammy in Arcadia). But I do feel comfortable analyzing other people's interactions with you.

It's like what you said about KA and gameplay506 in 143. I don't think this looks like scum-to-scum. Oversoul is a stronger player than gameplay, but I couldn't find similar partner interactions in any of his scum games from the last 2 years (Mini 1441, Picmin Mafia, NY 162, Purified Mafia, Chrono Trigger Mafia Resurrection). Depending on the game and who the partner is, he defends them, calls them town, talks to them, gets in small arguments with them, calls them scum, votes them, and drives wagons on them. But he doesn't, uh... buddying is probably the closest word. Or empathy. Strongly agreeing with them, or complimenting their playstyle, or being really friendly to them. He doesn't do that.

The other point about not knowing Shadoweh had targeted him is much weaker, because it could just be good acting, and I think they

might

have planned something like that. That said, I don't know why either of them would bother in this game state, with the amount of apathy going around.

In other words, Bulbazak was in fact neutral night one. Consequently MafiaSSK did the kill on Lying Scum. After that, Bulbazak became scum and he has been the one doing the kills ever since.
