Day it is. I have nothing to contribute, really, except that I wonder if Leo was killed because he didn't show up on time. If so, ouch, but nice going getting the game started. :)

I can't believe I say so many things that don't make sense that no one even commented on my last post.

Actually, the more I think about it, the most likely players to kill Leo night 1 are me and Werebear, and I know I didn't, so

You know, I don't really know. It's just a gut feeling. But yeah, Werebear's noticeable absence is what got me thinking about it in the first place, so maybe that's the bulk cause of my feeling.

Does anyone else think it was really weird that TSS claimed an evil role as a covery story to his evil role?

This is probably just a perpetual suspicion of Werebear, but I'm leaning toward him today. ZONEACE, apparently our cop, came out and random voted him day 1. This obviously doesn't mean he's evil, just that he wasn't someone who ZONEACE investigated and got evil. That's a step in the guilty direction closer than the rest of us. Plus, there's my crap bandwagon from yesterday, though while crap, perhaps had at least an ounce of truth in it. So:

Vote: Werebear
.

It didn't sound to
me
from the role description that Hopper could kill, Fletcher, but I'm not positive. I'm pretty glad Hopper's gone, though...that could have been a real pain in the endgame.

Was this message part of your role, or did you just inexplicably receive a message?

Yes, I'm always suspicious of you. But hey, people who get notes can't be evil, can they?

These note things are becoming more and more prevalent in games, and I don't think I've ever seen one give faulty information...maybe. I'll put a third on Fletcher for now (start making up your claim now, Fletcher :))

Hm, Fuldu has a point about where the missing message on night 1. I don't think this is enough to convince me (Hint, hint: Claim Fletcher), but it's worth keeping in mind for future nights. Maybe a result is only sent if something is noticed?

If there's 1 cop and 2 killing groups, the probability of being targeted for death is twice as big as the probability of being targeted by evil.

We
could
have a cop investigate him, tell Fletcher not to hide, and have a doc protect him. That would clear or implicate him pretty definitively...unfortunately, there's only about 32,519 ways that plan could go wrong.

After
Monday? Sweet, we don't have to poste today! Kidding, kidding....

I'm mostly torn on the Fletcher issue, but I think I agree with FD, and the numerous compliments. The claim is just too perfect. On the other hand, the claim will be easy enough to verify later with cops/docs/etc. if we need to, so I'm happy to let Fletcher off the hook with an eyeball firmly fixed in his direction.

Unvote: Fletcher
for now.

Cool roles so far, and definitely some questionable ones as to whos good or not. This'll make future role claims pretty interesting. (Wait...Randall was pro-town, right? If not, I guess he was the Sk and killed Boomer, and someone else killed him? But that can't be right....WB's
never
an SK.)

Though I can't help but feel I might be sticking up for a serial killer, I think I have to agree with Fletcher. With the quickness that PBuG jumped out of the gate with that theory, it sure
feels
like PBuG's a killer who knew he could set up Fletcher by offing WB at night.

I don't suppose anyone

Wow, there's only 6 of us left. This game has gone quickly. I'm guessing there's one mafia and one SK left, so with 2 out of 6 evil, we've got to get pretty lucky to win if we don't lynch right today. And no lynch is not at all an option...we'd be left with 4 people tomorrow, probably 2 of them evil, essentially an automatic loss. So let's be careful.

When did I claim I thought it was so unlikely?

And I guess it was clear to everyone else, but the word "stalker" is one of those alarm-setting-off kind of things. Stalkers are typically not good people, and Randall was certainly not a good guy in the movie. I think further clarification was not totally unreasonable.

Yeah, like it would be to my advantage to be confused about something, or even to pretend to be confused about something.

And there's a fairly large distinction between "I'm guessing there's 2 evil left" and "I think it's very unlikely that there's 3 evil left."

With 6 of us left, we sure have to
hope
there's only 2 evil. Since that's possibly the only scenario we can win, we might as well assume that's true and play for whatever winning chances we have left.

Unless you think that I, as mafia, would be gaining some advantage by convincing the town that there's only two mafia, I'm not sure why you think this belief of mine is suspicious. I'm already the one who's telling us to be careful with our lynches. If there's three scum left, we're pretty screwed. Yes, of course the mafia could kill another evil. But even if one of those happens, we wake up tomorrow with 2 scum and 2 townies...yet another horrible situation.

All in all, this is somewhat irrelevant...it's not like I'm claiming we should give up all hope and forfeit the game right here. But if there were any decision I had to make that would go one way if there were 2 scum left and the other way if there were 3 scum left, then I'd make the first choice, because we have to hope that this is the case if we're to have any decent shot at winning.

No way, PBuG. Why would anyone ever hide with that role? There's no positive benefit...you only risk death. (Okay, okay, you could
possibly
save a cop by dying in his place, but you could also be saving an SK, so those kind of cancel each other out).

Vote: PBuG
because there's no way that's claim is real.

Hmm, so Fletcher
was
scum and either got blocked or something last night, and the SK took out Fletcher (an odd choice? Maybe not).

However, to pre-address shady's inevitable point, there may be another virus left. In which case there's 2 scum on different teams, and 2 townies. Which is, needless to say, bad...almost unwinnable, except in the small chance that the scum take each other out overnight.

So, again, I'm going to take the (apparently unpopular) assumption that there's only one scum left, and
Vote: No lynch
as it seems clearly superior to me. And unless there's overwhelming evidence to lynch someone, I probably won't change.

Sorry, sorry, sorry. I've been totally engrossed by Whack-a-Mole, even to the point of disregarding my mafia games. Oops.

I'm happy to claim, but I'm not sure there's too much of a point. It's possible keeping my role secret could negatively affect the mafia's chances of winning.

As much as I do like being proclaimed certainly innocent, I must admit there's a little bit of suspicion left on shadyforce. On the other hand, the argument's pretty convincing and his actions from yesterday seem to align with his claimed previous night choices...so if I had to make a call, I'd say shady was probably good.

While I wait for shady to post, I'll claim: I'm Mike Wazowski.

Who do I find suspicious? I'm not sure. The Nemo and Woody claims both seem pretty believable, but it's also possibly a safe role claim that they've been given...we didn't have a Buzz Light-year claim either, so it's quite possible that the mafia was told that neither Woody nor Buzz are in the game. Then again, TSS claimed Zurg, so that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. And Fletcher claimed Stinky Pete...how is it that both fake scum claims so far have been evil characters from Toy Story? Bizarre.

Right, of course. I was thinking we had this nice one-day reprieve of killing, but yes, this will continue indefinitely. So we get two lynches to get this right. I guess that makes it okay to reveal, but it still feels a little off.

I'm Mike Wazowski. I have no night choices, but I'm immune to the first night kill attempt made on my life. I'm not told if/when this occurrs.

Post away, shady.

Idunno...I think it makes sense, shady. If he doesn't tell me, I'm just going to ask. Plus I vaguely remember some other incarnation of this role that got a little wacky because someone assumed they would be told and wasn't, or something like that. I don't know if this was in Jere's head, but he probably just wanted to keep things nice and clean.

I'm strongly leaning toward Fuldu at this point. I think it's quite possible that the most prominent role from each movie is missing (Sulley, Buzz Light-Year, and Flik all went unclaimed), but unfortunately for the plan, this implicates Nemo as well. So unless shady and I are the only 2 innocents left, this plan fails. But it seems so good. Bah! [/incoherency]

Hm. You bring up 2 very valid points. And now that you mention it, it slightly concerns me that we've all allowed ourselves to be sandwiched today...but it doesn't appear that being sandwiched leads to death.

That's the thing with shady: there are several reasons to be suspicious of him, but there's good counterarguments against all of them. Perhaps this should just be attributed to the fact that shady's a good player who would have considered all these things before his actions and before claiming. Hmm.

I haven't asked JereIC because I'm pretty sure he wouldn't tell me anything. If he would, he wouldn't have explicitly told me that I wouldn't be told at the very beginning. But he's on AIm right now...it's probably worth a shot.

However, if mathcam doesn't get on board with this lynch or provide a compelling reason not to by Monday, the vote will shift to him.
Hm, well that leaves my options pretty slim, doesn't it? Kill or be killed. Well, I'd rather go after Fuldu... I feel like
JereIC specifically refused to tell me whether I can outshoot other players' abilities, so I assume I can't, but there's a small chance I can.
was directly copying my statement that JereIC wouldn't tell
me
something about
my
role, and I find the Nemo and Woody claims equally suspect.

But here goes:

Vote: Flying Dutchman

Shady, if we make it to tomorrow, I'll vehemently plead my case then okay? :)

Heh, thanks for waiting. I was hoping I'd get to post at the start of the day to prevent even the possibility of you guys killing me before I could post, but it worked out just as well in any case.

Double Vote: Fuldu
.

You guys really thought the godfather had no extra abilities?

Woohoo!

'Fraid so, shady. Though well done on lynching 2 scum in 2 days. Maybe you guys deserve like 15% of a win for that. :)

Hm. Really? Bother. Then this could be a little tricky. I guess I'll have to be the first to post on a game day, Vote: No lynch, and then shut up, and see what JereIC does about lurking. This could be fun...I'm looking forward to it.

And yes, there's only one double vote....or is there?

I wasn't actually the godfather, FD.

Yeah, good claim, Fletcher.
