I haven't actually played any FF games to completion, because I'm a filthy casual, though I have enjoyed the six or so I've played off and on.

Actually never touched IX though, so this should be interesting.

I've heard very good things about XIV, but monthly fees are a problem for me.

If they ever switch to a one-time purchase, or even just allow limited free play without a time restriction, I'd probably play it though.

My only experience with Ira was when he was Town, and he sounds pretty similar right now, for what it's worth.

That said, I don't like to use meta for my reads, and flavor claiming immediately seems kind of strange.

Null right now.

There's not a lot here I have major opinions on yet.

I have some very weak initial reads, but mostly townreads( mollie, ira, and camn are the ones that come to mind first ).

Vedith is a real spookster, but.... That's Vedith. I'm gonna try to base my read there more on the other head, which hasn't stood out to me yet.

SpyreX is currently my "top scumread" because of that endgame comment on D1, but I want to see more before jumping to conclusions.

Once my reads solidify, I will be much louder here.

Being passive is anti-town since we don't get a read on you easily and you rely on other players generating discussion....
I don't really know how to provoke scummy responses from nothing, so I scumhunt by watching for contradictions or actions that seem anti-town, then I drill those and judge the reactions by the "target" and rest of the game.

As for when you should expect more... Depends on the pace of the game, but if I haven't found something by D2 something's probably wrong.

I wish there were a bit of a stronger crumb to go off of, because VoicelessReason's posts seem town to me.

But I find it hard to believe a weak role wouldn't let us know they're target in some way, and you're the only one who fits the bill.

I thought Advent Children was really pretty, but that's about all it had going for it.

Also, your claim would be believable, but redirecting Toog to Camn, who you "scumread" would mean you knew what Toog's role was.

Not all ICs are mod confirmed automatically. Some are triggered by the player.
Huh. Well alright then.

Banana

You need to claim before Pops tells us the exact result. We know that the result is there. We have to assume there's a reason he didn't just say you were guilty.

And now Ira...
There were people arguing that Toogeloo should not have visited a townread. If I were scrum with VR, why would I not join that camp and use it as an excuse for why Voiceless was NOT the target?
And I fail to see how opposing a quickhammer means I know Banana's, or anyone else's alignment.

Finally, if 111 is confscumming me, why haven't you been scumreading me the entire game instead of just now?

Also, please explain your issue with 111.

Why should Town be preparing for an endgame that should never happen? Later if we're having issues, sure, but lining up a LyLo roster on D1 is pretty fishy stuff. I stand by that, even if I was wrong about SpyreX.

It is extremely fake and reachy.

That's the worst and most scum-aligned justification for a vote I have ever seen during my year of playing mafia.
My mindset as scum is exactly what SpyreX said though. When I play as scum, I'm thinking of who I want in LyLo that I can get to mislynch. That's why that pinged me as scum.

What kind of response is that? You've totally been in games with me before.
I've been in one, I think. But yes that's why I went ahead and hammered. I wouldn't have been so easily swayed if I hadn't seen you play before.

VOTE: House

You should have died last night if you were Town. You claimed a true guilty and that pops was acting as a decoy. Scum had to have known that pops was the real cop, and the only way they could have is if you're on the scumteam.

As a side note @pops.... After the game I'd like to know how Vanilla is a "soft guilty"

Was the neighborhood part true?
And if so, is there anyone else in there?

I believe that Town could make that gambit.
What concerns me though, is that if I were scum I'd kill the person confidently claiming a hard guilty on a wagon he'd been pushing for over a week over the guy who couldn't answer questions about his result.
I can't see how they would have chosen you as the fake unless they knew beforehand. And, without that neighborhood, there was no way for them to have that knowledge, unless you're one of them.

...

You're right.

I'm gonna blame confbias there, because I just overlooked that as "of course scum would lynch town, nothing weird there."

I'll admit I'm not familiar with your meta, but being happy about a mislynch is... Not a good sign, to say the least.

What a scum post, amirite?!
Yes, it's very scum-aligned actually.

Because he overjustifies his vote and tries to make it sound like he didn't know VoicelessReason is scum-aligned.

You clearly don't believe what you are saying and overconfident defending with no basis... Even if you don't think it's a scum-aligned post, no way it could be a strongly town-aligned post like you're trying to suggest.
There's just one problem there, Ira my old friend. What advantage do I gain by pretending I think someone I know will flip scum would flip Town... And voting them anyway? I made it clear that I was skeptical, but recognized the necessity for a lynch. If I were scum, that would be posturing for a Town flip, not a Scum flip.

This is extremely scum-aligned and disconnected with reality, because House said already that he was pretending to try to act as a decoy in the thread.

It's really poor confirmation bias reasoning because Radical Rat knows House's alignment.

By the way, popsofctown thought BananaNSFW is scum-aligned because he softed PR, but he was just vanilla and too ashamed to admit because nobody would believe him...
Yes. It was confirmation bias. I recognized, acknowledged, and corrected it though. Which is more than you can say for your "every word out of Rat's mouth is scummy by default" thing.

Pisskop, your "reaction testing" provided a justification to oppose a caught soul's wagon.

While I think House is overstating my involvement in that lynch, the fact that you created that out and defended VR with it is anti-town at best.
I'd suggest looking at everyone else in the "that wasn't a crumb" camp as well. Which I intend on doing... Now.

Well apparently the only other person claiming VR wasn't the crumb was Pops.

I could have sworn there were like four people like that, but I digress.

I didn't notice in Greatest Idea, probably because I knew I was fighting a losing battle in that game, but House, you're a great addition to the game and I look forward to seeing you in future playerlists. Thanks for replacing in, you're a real rad guy.

Well fuck.

Yeah, I was way off that game, but ah well. I still have a lot of learning to do.
