(This is the kind of thing that I pointed out to my partners for why I think the other RR is the second scum since this kind of discrediting conftown is what scum need to stand a chance here. It's possible that Ali did indeed target the logical duo, but if the logical duo's role works similar to ours (in that ours does not specify night actions but ANY actions), then Ali could indeed have targeted the logical duo and ended up on someone else.

This wouldn't be reason for Ali to be town tho.
The opposite in fact; the redirection off of the logical duo would mean Ali had no excuse for jailkeeping them and would be able to freely kill them without suspicion.

Exactly fucking WHY they were in the mason pool. They were a null and they had not given a chance to give content. Keep in mind we had a limited number of names we were going to potentially target. You? Fuck no. The OTHER RR? Fuck no, not given our disagreement in there. The logical duo? If they were indeed an IC an absolute waste of the ability. Us? It'd fail and even if it wouldn't it'd be redundant so no. It couldn't be used N1 so no ability to use it on RC but even if we could have then RC was a read we were debating about rather heavily so no, not optimal usage there.

Jared we were reasonably sure was town so would be a waste of the ability there to use it. random died N1, again unable to use it during that time though we were thinking random was scum actually for his end-of-D1 posting spiel so we sure as fuck weren't going to target there if we could anyway. We had limited options then.

Mostly, nulls. Our Lovely Host, V (who I said we'd have good ability to work with), the Bringer of Fire's slot, and the Decider of Game's slot. Those were our options and I stand by each of them as a good choice. It just so happens we picked the best of them, though no matter how much I want to claim credit for that I can't. (I mean I did push V as an option rather strongly, but I wasn't pushing him as the strongest and it's not like I screamed to masonize him so it's not really me who made that call no matter how much I influenced it. Well it's not quite as simple as a cop check.

You also need to have potential synergy with the player you are to be a mason with. After all, you go in with the assumption you're getting an innocent--not a guilty. Meaning, you go in assuming you will gain a player who is conftown. You want the player you make conftown to be someone that will actually make good use of that status. But at the same time, yes it is indeed a cop check so you may not want to use it on a player who is already town to you.

This is why V was consistently one of my top picks. He is someone who fit every criteria for what a good masonize target would be. (I did have a slight concern that he could be nightkilled or rolestopped, but those were my only concerns about targeting him and I figured it was far, far, far more likely that the scum would kill a player that was explicitly going to be conftown, e.g. the logical duo, Sapphire, rather than a player who was only softing conftown. ESPECIALLY if Ali would be scum.)

We don't have absolute consensus, unfortunately. That's a bit of a problem when you stick five players together. (It is impossible to separate TWC reads from Sapphire reads because we are one and the same. <3)

Universal to all five of us is a Dio scumread. Our reasons there differ but come from a whole bunch of reasons. I'm mastina though so I'm absolutely the LAST person you want to try and explain reasoning behind scumread; I fucking suck at it. If you insist it must be me I can try but honestly the best at describing it would be Nacho. (Who is our least-active head unfortunately.) Ginngie and Sapphire can probably do an adequate enough job of explaining that read and if push comes to shove so can I, it's just that my explanation is a bit harder to articulate.

You have to understand that we are working on a POE where we have three players to us that are explicitly conftown now, and so at this point that means aside from Dio, we have two scum in the four remaining names:
You, The Decider Of Games, The Bringer Of Fire, and The Other RR.

Prior to this gameday, neither The Decider Of Games nor The Bringer Of Fire have provided any content. By POE, at least one of them must be scum because we believe you to be town off of meta. (I fully trust my babe's read on you, because they know you well and it matches my own experience of you. Essentially, you're just not playing even remotely your scumgame, so. You're not one of the people we are considering realistically speaking.)

It is possible they are both scum. It is possible one of them only is scum. It would be a literal coinflip however, for that very reason: prior to today they had zero game content and thus there would be nothing to read them off of. The Bringer Of Fire is explicitly not a player I personally can read so I'm leaving him to my partners to sort and will give you an update there.

Now, PERSONALLY.
I hold a scumread on The OTHER RR. This mostly stems from lackluster content the entire game, us believing that Sappho was the intended kill N1 (scum having a way to bypass Ali's jailkeep yet having it fail), and that the OTHER RR let on to scum's plans there. This, compiled with the Dio-Rat interactions the entire game. They distanced a lot D1, but backed off of one another and on D2, their scumreads on each other were completely and utterly gone. Vanished into thin air, as if the whole thing was both slots bullshitting. (I can show this in both Dio's iso and The Other RR's iso.)

I explained this read in detail in our PT but it'd take me a while to properly paraphrase it, and I'd also need my partners' consent in order to do so since this would be me casing on a slot that some of them still say is town and I don't want to do that without permission.

So our exact reads are a WIP.
Universally we scumread Dio; universally we townread you; universally we know there are three conftown slots; we are left with three slots for two scum; two of those slots have contributed nothing prior to today. That's what we have in a nutshell.

Btw further explaining this: basically, The Bringer Of Fire told something which we know cannot be true. We know that Our Lovely Host received the item in question so we know that V's action went off as intended. As a result of this, the possibilities were:
-The bringer of fire lying as town
-The bringer of fire lying as scum
-The bringer of fire telling the truth but having his action fail thanks to a town external factor (e.g. redirector, roleblocker, jailkeeper, rolestopper, alien, with said roles causing the busdrive to not work)

The Logical Duo claimed Innocent Child: conftown. They were nightkilled.

Sapphire, now Jae, claimed masons with us. HOWEVER, they could not be nightkilled, because we had deflected all actions from Sapphire. Meaning that if scum DID try to kill conftown Sapphire/Jae N1, they failed on a fundamental level thanks to our deflect. (I've actually been working under this assumption believe it or not. That it went Sapphire-->The Logical Duo-->random.)

V was not conftown until D3. And N3, we deflected actions off of him.
Our Lovely Host was not conftown until D3. You can ask why she wasn't nightkilled N3 but with NOBODY dead N3 there's nothing you can say since there's any number of potential failure reasons in the nightkill. And now she's bulletproof so scum CAN'T nightkill her.

The one and only conftown who was wide open at all this entire game has been us, thanks to our ascetic making us vulnerable to the nightkill. HOWEVER, said ascetic also makes us immune to all scum interference directed our way. We also didn't claim our ascetic until today if memory serves. (If we did claim it earlier it was yesterday.) So scum didn't know we were open to attack.

So The OTHER RR is asking "why didn't some other conftown die?", when...it's fucking self-explanatory why other conftown didn't die: we were fucking STOPPING them from dieing. And were directly responsible for them being able to become conftown in the first place for that matter.

To clarify. Our targets have been known to the mason chain since the moment we made them. Sapphire/Jae has known our targets from the get-go. They paraphrased the relevant information and passed it along to V. V has, presumably, paraphrased the paraphrase, and passed it along to Our Lovely Host. As a result, the players who most needed to know have known. We didn't need scum to know our targets, and we didn't need the town outside of the conftown to know our targets because Sapphire/Jae + V + Our Lovely Host + us = almost half the votes (last night), now literally half the votes (this phase).

However, that being said, because Ginngie and I are both loudmouths we've ended up at various points divulging this information
