The Rules

(Stolen from SpeedyKQ and edited)

[1] DO NOT quote your role PMs directly – you must paraphrase the wording. If you are unsure as to what is acceptable, ask me via PM.
[2] Your votes and unvotes must be in bold (
Vote: Nexus
)
[3] You don't have to unvote before you change your vote, but I'd really like it if you did. (
unvote, vote: Nexus
) Unvotes must be in bold.
[4] You may not discuss the game outside this thread unless your role permits you to. If someone approaches you to discuss the game without me telling you they can do so please report it to me.
[5] Once you are dead you may not post. This means no “bah” post.
[6] If you wish to end the day without a lynch you may
Vote: No Lynch
. A majority of these votes is required to end the day without a lynch.
[7] Days will be deadlined to 2 weeks each. This deadline will not be extended for any reason other than a Mafiascum server crash or similar.
[8] At the end of each Day there will be a Twilight phase lasting 48 hours from the moderator's announcement that Day has ended. Talking in thread is permitted during Twilight but the result of the Day's vote cannot be changed.
[9] Nights will be deadlined to 72 hours each. Actions submitted after this deadline will not be counted.
[10] Leave any grudges at the door. Personal attacks will not be tolerated.
[11] Codes, invisible type, small letters or other similar techniques to conceal content of your posts are forbidden.
[12] If you want a player prodded, please request so in thread. I will also prod any players if and when I feel it is appropriate.
[13] I am the mod, and my word is final. I will do my utmost to act in the spirit of the game, and if you want to address something with me, I'll listen, but please do so via PM. But in the end, what I say goes.
[14] Play to your win condition, but don’t be a twat. I, the mod, am the sole judge of twattery in this game. If you think you might be about to be a twat, check with me first.
[15] Have fun!
[16] The tags are mine. Don't use them.

Note: All flavour text in morning/lynch/night scenes is purely cosmetic and will never contain any clues or information about the setup. Do not try to use them to deduce the nature of the game.

Morning of Day 1

Spoiler: Game On
Image Morning, Leo.

Image Good morning, Josh.

Image What have we got?

Image I got a meeting about the Chinese trade bill. President wants to get tough on it.

Image Need a hand in there? I got nothing.

Image No, I need you to ask around about the mafia.

Image The...mafia?

Image Yeah. In the building. Trying to kill us by infiltration and manipulating us against each other.

Image The mafia?

Image Yeah.

Image Shouldn't we be more worried about that?

Image It'll blow over.

Image ...OK.

Image I got a meeting.

Image ...

Image DONNA!

Image Good morning.

Image I need to find this mafia family that's infiltrated the White House and are plotting our deaths.

Image Isn't that dangerous?

Image I thought so, but...

Image Mafia? Are you sure?

Image Leo told me. He thinks it'll blow over.

Image I didn't think the mafia were the blow-over type.

Image Leo thinks they are. C.J.!

Image Joshua.

Image What do you know about this mafia thing?

Image What mafia thing?

Image You know, the mafia...thing.

Image Oh, sure,
that
mafia thing. What's the mafia thing?

Image There are mafia in the White House plotting our deaths. Leo said so.

Image You're serious? Why wasn't I briefed on this?

Image I don't think the press know anything about the mafia.

Image It'll get out, Josh! Why did no-one tell me there were mafia in the White House?

Image There are mafia in the White House?

Image There are mafia in the White House.

Image Huh. I heard it was a serial killer.

Image Great. Now it's a serial killer.

Image Is that better? There's only one guy. That's better, right?

Image What if there's both?

Image I guess we should probably clarify that.

Image Yes, Josh. I guess we probably should.

Image So, I'm gonna...do that.

Image OK.

Image ...Yeah.

All confirms are in, so we can begin. It is now
Day 1
. With 13 players alive, it will take 7 votes to lynch. Deadline is exactly 2 weeks from this post.

More significant than that. I had a part in the last two seasons, but was also not a part of the Santos campaign.

Seriously? Aaron Sorkin was the series creator and chief writer for the (better) first four seasons.

Interesting. Vel's only ever played one game with me, and that's ongoing with no flip from me. If it were RVS, there'd be an RVS reason given. if Velz and I had a real history, or he had some real meta, it would be a jesting RVS vote. We don't, and he doesn't, so Velz is probably bad newbscum trying to mask a nervous vote with an out-of-place RVS-like reason.

Vote: Velazanth

AurorusVox may be scum as well. L-2 on someone that hasn't even posted yet? That's where I draw the line between lolpressurewagon and suspicious activity. Add in the bad bus in #20 (no reason given, but more or less calls him obvscum) and we're down two scum already. This is going to be an easy game.

I reconsidered the first line, then considered it again. A moment of second-guessing and self-doubt. Reminded myself why I thought it in the first place.
