Your teammates are Town until proven otherwise. This is enforced.
These games are self-contained - you may not talk about any Team Mafia game except this one in this thread.
Deadlines in this game are centrally set. The otter says something and I obey.

So, that makes the boilerplate ruleset easy!

Hawt New Game Mechanic rules:

1.

Defining Traits.

Each role is aligned with at least one Domain. These Domains are described in the next post. Domains will be removed from the game if no living roles are aligned with them.
2.

POWERFUL WIZARDRY.

At Night, players may elect to use any power roles they may have, Worship a Domain, or Cast using the Faith they received from having their Domains Worshipped on the previous Night.

Specific to Night 0 (yes, there is a Night 0), a player may not Worship N0 and Cast N1 - a player who wishes to Cast N1 must opt not to Worship N0.

Here is an example of the mechanic using a Sample Role PM featuring someone who is not in this game. All Town roles in this game look like this.

Friendly Neighbor

- Target self to spend the Night drinking vodka. Anyone who visits you during the Night will be offered (and accept) said vodka, and will basically spend the Night not doing whatever it was they came to you to do.

You win when it is no longer possible to prevent your faction from being the only one left in the game.

While I agree with this, I'm curious as to why you felt the need to make this comment.

Because it informs my "random" vote, I suppose.

Anyway, waiting to see who the first person is to try to convince me to join their religion.

I will mention that I actually helped Vi design the previous game in this series, the one that these mechanics are based on, and let me just say that it's *damn* hard to design a game like this that's not at least theoretically breakable for town. Don't get me wrong, I have a lot of faith in Vi's game design skills, but still everyone should carefully think through all the aspects of their roles and start trying to come up with scenarios or combinations that seem strong or potentially game-breaking for the town.

(By the way; while I'm sure this is obvious, it should be said anyway; everyone should start thinking about how your abilities can be abused, but DO NOT TALK ABOUT YOUR ROLES OR CLAIM ANYTHING OR EVEN HINT ANYTHING ABOUT YOUR ROLE right now.)
