That was the best shot he could have done. Toog had lied about his position and was actually next to him, but he didn't know that. Although Toog teleporting would have given him the same 40% chance of dying.

BTW PM, you did really well day 1. You made Scum change their pacing and put the game on track for different strategies than last game.

There were two possibilities:
A) toog was town and shooting him at 100% is auto loss
B) Toog was scum and probably lying about his room as I assumed all scum would.

I assumed I was shooting at 40% regardless and just shot my strongest scum read, who turned out to be scum. The fact that it missed was out of my control.

@Titus & Varsoon- I'd really, really advise working on making your posts more coherent and a lot less frequent. When you post as often as you did here, you make it impossible for people to have conversations with any of the other players, and just trying to lynch anyone in a general group of people like you did here instead of individual players makes it much more difficult to read you and to evaluate your reads and the reasons you have for them. You aren't entirely to blame for pretty much nobody trying to play the game day 2 onward, but the sheer amount of posts made this game go from something I was looking forward to playing to something I had to trudge through and deal with, and I doubt I'm the only one who felt that way. And seriously, look back through your iso- even you should be able to see that the vast majority of your posts weren't helpful to the gamestate throughout your enormous argument with mollie and me and everyone else who was voting you, and ceaselessly trying to attack a huge portion of the game largely because they thought you were scum certainly wasn't going to get the people who you were attacking off of you.

@Pretty much everyone else who was town except mollie and shos- uh, try harder? like seriously, engage with people about their or your reads more, nobody trying to engage anyone else led to day 2 ending up the way it did.

@toog-very well played, you put in more effort than pretty much anyone else aside from shos starting d2, and the accidental item dropping claims were very well done.

@MS- You didn't really have to do much but coast but you did avoid getting attention pretty well in the final day. And I didn't hate your posts like I was expecting to based on your previous games, so props for that I guess?

@Storyteller- The item dropping at the beginning was a bit wonky, I think especially so since I think pretty much everyone assumed that holding items would be automatic at the very start since dropping them was an action you could take as well, but the game seems good as a setup and you were fairly timely with getting replacements, though a few quicker prods midgame probably wouldn't have hurt (though I think I was just as guilty as most others of not posting enough for most of d2). Thanks for running the game for us!

Process of elimination. Shos was obvtown. BBT (UT) was so far off from his scum meta. Toog had me fooled. Farside's flip had me wondering how the hell I was wrong on one of them and while I would have guessed shos, I felt it was near impossible for it to be two of them so I figured take a shot at you and sort the rest after if I got the chance. But I also thought there was a good chance I'd die so it was kind of whatever let me do my best and let everyone else figure it out after that. Two deaths, including a scum one, would have confirmed me so I'm kind of surprised you guys went with UT over me. Well played overall though.

oh, and watching literally half the game go "huh gamma died I would have mislynched him" and then not putting any effort into thinking about why I would have died was pretty depressing, but tbf I was also in the room that it seemed like literally everyone in the game converged on for some reason so it would have made sense as safe kill that couldn't be traced back to an individual scum player too.

I actually hate being scum. It stresses me out far more than being town does. I am very, very concise with my actions and strategies when playing scum, and having to change things probably gives me ulcers lol.

I assumed that I would be holding items when moving, which I'm guessing (still never got a hard confirm) is why I dropped the Wrench on Night 0. Cheet reobtained it and was responsible for the first kill (He had the rope Night 0 and killed Body too), while I obtained the Revolver after SM dropped it. Now knowing it was possible to use that as an excuse, I had intended to go that route, and had hoped people would assume as kmd did that scum wouldn't just claim items like that.

It was ALWAYS my intention to make sure that the Night Kills were the safest choices, in the most populated areas. I wanted to ensure that if people were following the rooms and where people were, that the kills couldn't ever really be narrowed down to a small group of people. In all honesty, I was never worried about players like Mollie or gamma, I just chose them because they were safe. The Kitchen was the Black Hole of the game, everyone seemed to converge near that room, so it was easy to keep killing there and never actually have more than 1 person be no where near it.

Mollie ended up dying on Night 1 because of her vocal nature. I always like to kill people who want to lead first, knock out the biggest voices in town so as to reduce the number of theories going out.
Gamma was killed Night 2 because he was the safest kill in the Kitchen. Since I had to do the kill, Farside and BBT/UT weren't on the table. I didn't want to kill kmd because it limited the amount of potential killers (in my eyes).
UT was killed on the final night solely because of safety. I didn't want to return to kmd and put myself back into 100% sure target range, and I was pretty sure shos still had the Wrench.

I assumed that kmd was going shoot one of myself or MS, and killing UT also set up a possible scenario where I/MS would autovote shos on the Final Day since we knew we confirmed kmd as town, and UT being next to shos would have incriminated him.


I tend to overthink a lot of the time, which is why I hate playing as scum lol. Give me a nice relaxing Town Vanilla role almost any day of the week /grin.

I want to ask Mafia here, what actions would they have picked, to see if they can pinpoint the correct strategy in this situation.

I would have likely used our power to summon an item and MS and I would have just pushed No Lynch. Then He would kill Shos with the Lead Pipe I would assume.
