It was mainly snark and confusion on my end; I did think that it might be a PT slip but figured that scum would be more careful. I hadn't considered whether or not the scum PT would be open during pre-game. I was too busy trying to figure out if I was misreading the title of the Clan PT.

This is a boring post that people will not want to listen to but in all likelihood given a setup of 4 clan hoods of 5 players + 1 stray, which seems very probable at this point, alignments were distributed randomly between all players rather than being mod-assigned. It is possible, albeit unilikely, that a hood is pure.


If you want to use the clans as mental bracketing for sorting a group of people it's fine. Just please for fuck's sake don't start chain-limming people in endgame because "we haven't found the scum in their hood yet".

I more or less just said something similar in the clan PT. But also don't stop looking for scum in a PT just because you found one, because there's almost certainly at least one clan with more than one scum.

The Clan PTs are just a tool to help scumhunt imo. Nothing more, nothing less.

I'm thinking catboi is town. Bell and Datisi kinda feels like scum theatre (or at least something's off about their interactions). Because of how our PT's been going I've been spending energy trying to parse that.

You seem to underestimate my levels of self-doubt. My process was refresh PT and confirm there were no other posts, look at the title at the top, look at the banner in the PT, go back to my role PM to make sure it matched the PT and that I wasn't assigned to the wrong one, go back to the main thread and make sure it said ThunderClan, go to the PT Directory and confirm it said ThunderClan, go back into it, refresh a couple more times, and re-read the main thread again.

@marashu if you see this when you're catching up why did you prioritize the pt over the main thread if you were having trouble parsing alignments there

Low-hanging fruit and lack of volume. I think it's easier to analyze and think critically about the smaller conversation than the larger one.

It's day 1 so I'm expecting people to be wrong. If you're asking about what I think about his reasoning, it's to his benefit to say that my reaction is fake, but that also implies that he does not see any fakeness with his interactions with Bell. Beyond that, it was an early read on my part and not one I have a lot of conviction in.

Kinda underwhelming. No strong feelings on the slot itself, but I'm really not liking that wagon. As for the case, I dunno, it feels superficial; a lot of thought (or at least more thought from my point of view) seems to be going into sorting other slots. I'm not sure what I should be expecting here for either town!Kitty or scum!Kitty, but I could see an agenda on this wagon.

I'll need to go back to confirm this, but I think I remember this wagon starting to pick up steam right around when Norwee's wagon was filling up.

Honestly? Maybe Titus because she's a bit of a wildcard. But I also don't want to shift discussion there because I think the discussion right now feels pretty healthy.

I would also love to hear more from Shiro but understand that it's difficult right now.

I get people marking Shiro and I as scum/scum, with them marking us as town/town, and with them marking Shiro scum and myself as town, but marking Shiro as town and me as scum doesn't make any sense to me unless you think she's either lying or wrong.

Titus joined Wind Clan and I asked in wind clan if we could potentially flashwagon T3 since I townread everyone else in hood. This makes sense since we were talking about if there was scum in the hood and I thought if there was scum in our hood its probs just T3.
Norwee agreed with the idea so I went with it. I obvs couldn't get to check in with Val or Shiro about it since time was kind off of the essence. It was an idea worth trying because maybe if we did say eliminate T3 and flip him before he could tell scum that Titus joined Wind Clan, that would be a huge edge to have over scum. This is assuming he does flip scum ofc.

Did Titus agree to this? Or was "we as the wind clan" just you and Norwee?

Any lim is better than no lim, and I wasn't convinced another wagon could build up steam in 24 hours on a weekend. I had expressed willingness to move over in the PT to make sure something goes through. That, and town reads that I trusted were scumreading mastina so I was starting to doubt.

Ah i can see how you misunderstood because i phrased it poorly. We were talking about scum being among leaders and i said it's unlikely because we can't protect the promoted people then gave a plausible theory pp came up with which can justify there being scum among leaders.

I had thought that, if scum was among leaders, they would likely have NK'd whoever got the promotion. If Charloux is scum here, he might have proposed this as fact. This feels more like a backpedal than poor phrasing. But on the other hand, I don't think Charloux had reason to believe it was true. So I don't understand the point of this.

Yes. Might be a bit slow because of trick-or-treaters but I'll get my thoughts out.

I know a bunch of people are TR'ing bear, but I'm kinda not? When mastina started pushing Norwee/Alisae, I started feeling suspicious of bear. Bear was quick to trust those two, and early D1 wanted to form a voting block with them. If it's a Norwee/Alisae/Bear team, they would know which clans have higher scum density so they could work together more easily. Bear is clearly an intelligent player (at least, intelligent enough to pull up logical fallacies during conversation). This may be BoP, but I'm concerned that bear is just saying the right thing for the sake of saying the right thing. I also didn't much care that, as D1 was winding down, bear in the PT was discussing who to eliminate D2 without knowing the D1 flip, and I do think that lining up eliminations is +scum. Not my #1 scumread, but I really don't trust this slot, so I'm confused that so many people do.

I don't like that Datisi has pre-flipped bear green in his head.

Alisae was pushing mastina pretty hard D1 after getting called out, even though mastina was pushing Norwee. Like, there was some fixation going on there. I'm not seeing much scrutiny on that, but since more than 5 people have posted, it's not that scum just isn't bringing it up. But why isn't scum discussing it, and why isn't town discussing it? I honestly don't know if this is normal for Alisae (who also tried to flashlim T3, so I'm guessing she likes to try to take control of wagons), but she was acting like mastina was foundscum, but looking back I see a lot of rhetoric and trying to discredit mastina's arguments. And then:

I don't regret flipping it I'm pretty happy that I did, it's the best flip in the game because I think it says a lot about the gamestate regardless of flip, ya know?

Which I didn't. It's all just speculation. A lot of players gave stuff away by how they navigated Mastina's wagon, but I can't seem to draw good conclusions from it.

If I understand right, what you got from the gamestate was scum!Kitty, and scum!bear which you say you already had because you couldn't get that read from the gamestate at the time? I don't want to put words in your mouth here, but this sounds like wanting to find proof for what you believe instead of the other way around. All that said, however, at least I see some skepticism about bear here. But outside of that, what info did you glean from the gamestate?

To the people saying the wagon on T3 is good, what makes it a good wagon? I think it's a good target but that wagon doesn't look clean to me.

I'm having a hard time finding anything Penguin has said that either wasn't said by someone else or was cutting into an argument without follow-up, for the sake of stirring up mischief. But if that's all normal for town!Penguin for D1, and their play changes during D2, well, I'll be watching for it.

All I really want to say is while Kitty might be a good flip, I think it flips town and I've been solving under that impression.
I still don't really want to engage with him because I think his post quality is awful and I hate it but that doesn't necessarily mean scummy.

Listening to him explain his reads makes me think he doesn't understand the game at all. This is why I've been saying that his reads are actually just below random. The way he talks about his reads, how he got them, and like, why, is just incredibly weak and makes me think he would actually just be better off RNGing his vote.

This has me re-evaluating this slot. Specifically, I like the analysis that went into the KT slot, it kind of answers some of what I was wondering about Alisae's thoughts about the mastina flip. As for my own thoughts about it, I'm not sure that I'm quite at a state where I'd want to townbin Kitty, but I'm more inclined to believe town!Kitty. Also has me more suspicious of Ceph than I was before, but I won't have time to dig into this deeper until Friday.

Ok. So. I read some of Enchant's entrance, and I think he jumped into the thread before reading our PT. So yeah, I'll clarify.

We are masons. Flavour-wise, we are medicine cats, meaning what we do is NOT gated by apprentice. This is why I told Charloux to never vote for me in the leaders PT. Our role does not explicitly say we are masons, but it does say that the other person is a defender of starclan. Shiro and I confirmed in the mason PT that we're town, but again, I don't think Enchant read it until after.

At first I thought titus was a medicine cat (like the roamer in the 1st book, the only book I read), but when she said she had something gated by apprentice I knew she wasn't. I also thought mastina might have been in a masonry with riverclan with her claim in case there's a medicine cat in every clan, but when she claimed apprentice that's when it was obvious to me that she wasn't.

It looks like scum’s flavor is “the dark forest” which his stuff that happened isn’t he third and fourth series, meanwhile scourge and yellowfang were both series 1 characters.

mastina's role PM also mentions 5 clans while the D1 start PM mentions 4, so I wouldn't look too deeply at that.
