on a second read I actually enjoyed ranger push on merlyn way more my first impressions of it. the whole my scum game is good and give me credit even if I'm wrong thing is so rubbing me in wrong ways, but I'm like sitting here struggling with myself again about how confident I feel about my ranger sr again.

I don't think townies are actually very likely to think a lim on them is fine. Basically it gives me vibes like they're going for this defense: "The twin that suggests that they both be killed is the good twin, because the evil twin wouldn't be selfless enough to die to make sure the other one did too. The fact that Wheme posted that, and then sprang to life after they started actually getting a serious wagon like they still want to fend it off, indicates to me that my initial skepticism of their angle was well-justified. Wheme has made nearly twice as many posts in the last few days since the threat of being the flip became serious. They aren't terribly useful posts for the most part, only giving a few reads or thoughts about the game while being more concerned with self-defense. It comes across very much like lurky scum who's making an effort to not be lurky to save themself now that they're at risk, but without giving away too much to avoid spewing info.

1) I wasn’t around at the start of the game which caused me to be 13 pages behind when I entered.
2) On catching up there were tons of wall/mechanical posts that kind of ruined my energy/will to read the game so I ended up scimming/not reading. I did try to form reads and stuff with the Katy push and stuff but idk didn’t really click into the game.
3) The boons game I was around since gamestart and was able to post and follow the game as it went and never really had to play catch-up. If you haven’t noticed I reallly suck at back reading a lot of pages. So comparing the amount of posts/lurkiness between games is kinda invalid.
4) even if you want to say I’m more lurky here and I’m more likely to lurk as scum, sure. But if you compare the quality of posts between my scum game and my town game I put a lot more work into scum posts usually because I care a lot more on how people perceive me. So while I lurk I put in more effort because as scum I see myself more as on a team and don’t want to let my team down. If you think I’m doing that here then whatever I guess (go back to the Firebringer post)

Having done my research (the total's up to the most recent 12 or so), I can back this up. When WhemeStar is town, he might not generate much content, but when he does, it's still reasonably nuanced. The thoughts may be

, yet have depth.

As scum, his content is less genuine, with not nearly the same depth.
