Hmm, I have the same amount of townreads on the MoS wagon as I do on the Amrun wagon (more -- but weaker -- townreads on the mos wagon if I'm not counting myself )


I've been saying for a while now, via private channels anyway, that I think we need a flip. If MoS ends up being the lynch and flips town I'm going to be looking very carefully at anyone who was avoiding/jumped off the Amrun wagon for this, but right now he's actually kind of null to me and, in my mind, there's a possibility they might be different!scum.

If he doesn't have the abridged Amrun/Pie 1v1 up by the time this game day ends and Amrun later flips scum, I'd probably have to bump him down further, but I'm assuming the technical difficulties are genuine for now.

- Will probably never actually trust him enough to bump him higher than this, but haven't seen any reason to suspect him, either and seems town.

- I spoke to Bitmap, his predecessor, fairly early on in the game and had a weak town read on him at the time. I haven't talked to Staeg at all and if he's posted anything it sure as hell wasn't worthy of remembering.

- Surprise! This read only changed today after talking to Fate. It might change again after I comb through her posts more thoroughly and/or talk to her 1v1.

- Couldn't get a read on this guy from the hangouts. Something about the nature of the hangouts I think has a worse signal:noise ratio to me -- I have a hard time focusing during them and they've kind of been a waste of time for me read-wise. My inability to focus doesn't really directly have to do with MoS, but it has been the only way I've interacted with him thus far. On his own in a vacuum, I have zero read on him whatsover. Any read I have on this guy is indirect... a.) I am kind of concerned for the results of the wagon given that a bunch of people seem to have a strong read on someone I don't have a read on directly... it doesn't bode well to me. b.) There's also the issue that Amrun seemed to be trying to call out MoS with a bullshit case, flubbed it up in the 1v1 and made it obvious how bullshit it was, AND EVERYONE IS JUMPING ON MOS INSTEAD OF AMRUN WTF. ARE YOU GUYS DUMB. but hey, I could still see them being different!scum and that might even explain the way amrun has behaved toward him so I guess that's a possibility.

The very first thing I did when this game opened was initiate conversation f2f with Reck. I discussed a theory I had (which I can't share publicly) and some other stuff, don't really remember specifics by now but point is, I eagerly initiated that conversation and reck can confirm that. While at scumhaus I initiated conversation with pretty much everyone who was there at least once and they can all verify that I was eager as fuck to get reads on people while I could do so f2f. After leaving scumhaus, I have admittedly focused much of my outside conversation about the game toward Pie. I've found it immensely helpful to have someone to talk to regularly in the game who I believe 100% is town -- it's almost like being a doublevote hydra. I initiated a conversation via PM with Fate earlier today, he can verify this -- and hell, pretty much anyone on my town list I've initiated conversation with at least once. There have been a few times I've tried to contact someone and they never replied (reck post-leaving scumhaus, NS once or twice). At this point I've talked to roughly 2/3 of the game 1v1 and I think that's pretty damn good for D1 and considering I was V/LA for one of the days and drunk like half the time I was at scumhaus.

THAT randomization was a bit op. Like seriously, I can't tell you how much I think being able to talk to people face to face about the game for the first few days helped, not least of all cuz I got to reallllllly cement myself as town before anyone had the chance to leap on me for silly reasons.

And don't get me wrong, I love you guys, but I'm so glad I don't have to go up there just to slap any of you for being scum.

There was a pretty massive gambit to protect the tracker, btw, I just wish it had worked. I forget the precise order of things, but basically I told Reck like the second the game opened that I had an idea about fakeclaiming power privately to a few people for reactions. He ended up fakeclaiming that my role was tracker to Fate/Nuwen (although I don't think they particularly believed him), after which point I tried to spread it to a few other people. Throughout most of that timespan, I'd been talking to quite a few people in the game, one of which was MattP, and when he claimed tracker to me I told him about my fakeclaim thing and agreed to share his results in future days and try to draw fire away from him. I trusted Pie to be town (although he did fakeclaim bodyguard to me) so I told him about MattP's role, then on my last day in Raleigh told Reck, who'd already claimed VT to me, that I knew who the tracker was (without saying who) and asked if he was willing to provide a

second

layer of protection by claiming his results in thread on future days. I think MattP later told Reck that he was tracker, like a few days after I got back to Tampa.

So basically we had this whole huge thing worked out meant to draw fire away from one of our biggest power roles if he hadn't been such damn obvioustown as to get NKed anyway. He was paranoid that he was going to die because he'd claimed to NS and he thought NS was scum, but nope.

Despite that rather spectacular failure, I got some pretty strong reads out of all that, so I guess it was worth it.
