I saw(obviously based on my line of questioning), but its irrelevant at judging MoS's alignment. From some players you should expect logical consistency (like yourself) but from others you can only expect emotional consistency (like MoS).

IRL lama would often defend townies from attacks he saw as flawed when he was scum. I only ever called him out on doing it when he was scum despite his claims that he did it as town too, perhaps I noticed it more when he was scum because he is working with extra info and can thus reach unatural conclusions from a townies pov.

This is the pattern my scum games tend to take, but not for your stated reasoning. I just find being scum less fun so can manage pretenses at the start but then as I have to play more and the fun slowly gets dragged out of me I'm left a bored husk. In this game it was just other factors that have left me a bored husk.

There are things to take away from this for instance. Appeals to emotion like voting yourself can work very well with some groups, but other groups can have violent backlashes against them, knowing which kind of group are are dealing with is very important before doing such a thing.
