You ~really~ shouldn't have done that; given there's other reasons last night's kill may have failed. Ffery and I don't think a scumteam would risk having spyrex do the kill with watchers and trackers running around probably in a large like this.

I could very easily see SpyreX making the kill and his play yesterday was not town spyrex. His play continues to be not town SpyreX.

I fail to see how getting Spyrex to claim at this point in time in town motivated.

It doesn't make sense for Spy to be sent to make the kill for the already mentioned reasons.

Is GR a roleblock? Maybe. Is it likely that he hit the 1 out of 4(ish) scum making last nights kill? No. Given that there are numerous other possibilities for the nk last night I don't like the push to have Spy claim in the slightest.

The thing that unsettles me is there could have been a doc shot also, that person would not only know there is a chance garruks theory is wrong but that they actually stopped the kill.

I don't want a doc to step forward, I just think we have potentially found scum amongst those two shots and yet the focus has been entirely on spyrex

The "Let's make Spy claim cause there might be protection for him if he turns out to actually be fucking important" is a good idea and all, except it isn't. Say that GR is town and is the RB, if Spy is also town and turns out to be a PR as well then the doc (if one even exists in this game) would have to choose between two PRs to save. I know that would be the ultimate wifom but why even let it get to that. We don't force Spy to claim, the hypothetical doc saves GR and forces scum to take a shot in the dark. Hell we could even have GR block Spy again to test his scumminess. And I know that scum could nk to set Spy up, in theory, but I would trade a nk and another night of info for one life, and Spy could always claim tomorrow.

Maenara did not look scummy. Micc was barely a blip on the radar. DV does look kinda scummy, but not enough to vote.

I still support the roleblock-lead lynch of Spy. I think it's the most likely course to lead us to lynching scum. And I think that one of our extremely active players who have essentially stopped that wagon is definitely Spy's scumbuddy.

I'm still not sure where the DV hate is coming from. I haven't gotten any bad vibes from his posts, and his entrance to the game seems genuine. Combine this with the fact that everyone who's posting is either ganging up on him or content to sit on the sidelines, and that leads me to believe he doesn't have anybody in the game (ie scumbuddies) looking out for his well-being. I obviously don't agree with all of his reads, but for the most part they're not bad. You can't step on these ones, at least. My main concern at this point is that he didn't have *anything* at all to say about the two scummiest players in the game (Porkens & EPM). That makes my spidey sense tingle a bit, but otherwise I'd tentatively lean town on DV at this point, so I the only reason I can think of for his wagon is that people got tired of pushing their scumreads and took the easy path instead (and scum are more than willing to let that happen and/or be there to help it along).

Happy birthday to me! This is my 34th year on earth, and my 6th(?) year playing mafia, albeit not all of those years were active years. I hope I’ve gotten even a little bit better. Our little game here has gone quite fast since I went V/LA. More so than I had expected. Nevertheless, I have a few things to say, although they mostly focus on DV and SpyreX.

First of all, I think DV is town. There are two reasons for this. While he has been silly and wishy-washy and even somewhat contradictory (see the ‘fish case), it feels like he is town trying to overcome the inertia of his slot.

As scum, it would have been easier for him to come in and follow the popular opinion, but he didn’t, and that makes me feel like he is giving his honest reads.

That’s the first reason. The second reason is related to what he said about me, and that’s all I’ll say on that.

he most certainly did follow popular opinion he put majiffy as his top townread and us as his second and when he started getting a wagon he like a champ and for some strange reason people are townreading him what is funny is that it is all of the peeps I think are scum.

As for SpyreX, a few things really bug me. First of all, after Garruk’s claim, SpyreX said he would be willing to claim if necessary. However, when I (essentially) said it was necessary, he replied I should be murdered. I think he read the tide of opinion and switched his stance accordingly. Many of you have said that SpyreX shouldn’t claim in order to WIFOM the mafia. In a vacuum, I agree. However, with the roleblock, and the NK, I think pinning SpyreX to a claim will be much more valuable to the town in the long run. Finally, again, sure: a million things could have happened last night. However, the scenarios I posited earlier, I maintain, are, by far, the most likely, and, therefore, it is safe for SpyreX to claim. I say that it is important for the town to understand whether SpyreX was involved in the NK or not.

If SpyreX’s claim makes sense (which, to his credit, I’m sure it will), we can move on to another wagon (Pecan, MoS, Pasch, etc.) and town will go into the night with far more information that if we just lynch DV now.

T-Bone one was a better case, though he doesn't feel particularly scummy to me. MoS one was nitpicky and weak, and I lean scummier on MoS.

I feel the strongest bits I have against MoS are his weird Porkens interactions (an important point because you're voting Porkens right now), and meta of him putting on a personality and showing a hell of a lot of confidence but no game solving early on (while his town game is usually a bit of confidence --> lots of game solving --> lots of confidence). The fact that some of you are being so closed minded on day fucking 2 of this game is amazing. If we were deeper in this game then I could get fully behind a nk being the result of a blocked scum kill. However there are a lot of people alive and a lot of things that could have happened. Due to this I do not feel comfortable with the reasurected push on Spyrex, especially since people are calling for him to claim when they have a townish read on him. Can someone explain to me the town motivation in having him claim? And don't just say he might be scum because that's obvious. Imagine for a second that Spy is town. You are asking for him to shed any defense he/we has/have as town. Either he is a PR that scum will choose between him and GR for death, or he is a VT and scum will just go after GR.

I don't know about others, but I was willing to lynch Spyrex because he wasn't very town. The roleblock claim only had a little to do with it. I still think the whole 1v1 thing feels kind of fake. If it was a new player, sure, I'd probably be calling them town, but from Spyrex it just seems like trying too hard to have a convincing scumread on me when it's obvious that a lynch on me is losing steam.

I know for certain two things about 50 Shades. He has a night action, and he's a Werewolf. Day 2 Majiffy claimed to have seen 50 Shades do something Night 1, but never specified what it was. Majiffy flipped watcher, so he saw 50 Shades visit someone. I learned Night 2 that he was a Werewolf. I was trying to get this information across without having to claim. My strategy going into the day was going to try and bait them into admitting their night action. Hence my first post asking them to tell everyone what they were up to. Re: Jiffy they obviously aren't the one doing the night kill or Jiffy would have nailed them to the wall. But maybe I could have gotten them to admit to roleblocking or rolecoping or some other scum action. I was expecting 50 Shades to post like 50 Shades, so I was hoping I could get away with pushing the lynch without having to full claim. I wasn't expecting to have to argue with DV instead.

This isn't a fake guilty because of the werewolves aspect of things; it's not an intuitive guess to assume werewolves in this game, so if he faked a guilty on mafia I would be able to give a genuine reaction and

That's what I'm asking. I don't have experience with this, do you? I believe from my zero experience that less PRs in a multiball makes more sense from a functional and balance standpoint. The lack of kills seems to suggest it's less likely we're dealing with two teams, but what have other people seen in multiballs?

It doesn't make sense for one team to have to dodge a full Seer and another team to have to dodge a one-shot cop. It does make sense for T-Bone to fake a Seer claim when a townie's already ruined his normal cop gambit.
