Also, when he's been wagoned and stuff, he didn't stop antagonizing me and others, suggesting the attitude is somehow legitimate.

He's not a super duper 10000% townread but I'm definitely more concerned about others.

There's no other lynch than MC today. That's a monumental slip.

And my top two suspects are Aristo and im not quite sure. I will say Magua not shooting Murdercat looks bad on him and I think we should consider that he echoed the vig from Muffin while GI roleblocked him and Murdercat killed him. Or Murdercat did the echo and Magua covered for him.
my third guess would be Creature

ok but what stops two townies, who can't communicate bids, from both bidding on the same item?
It's possible but remote. Would be similar if I found a player who bid 100 on strongman.

Spiffeh is basically confirmed townas far as im concerned, despite you saying how wrong hes been, he got two scum killed with his cop. Murdercat was confirmed scum by gi's lynch. If spiffeh was bussing, he would have claimed guilty on murdercat.

literally none of this is what happened
Then what did happen? Cause murdercat claimed a role greyice had, and when gi flipped, due at least in part to spiffeh. Yes, the lynch might have happened anyhow but spiffeh made sure both were killed.
Wrong. Pie's guilty was sufficient. Grey was getting lynched at that point no matter what. Murdercat fucking up was just a bonus.
Wrong reads does not make scum.
It has to do with Spiffeh specifically. I've found him to be very accurate.
And if you can't be arsed to actually point out why you're so immune, i'm going to take it as big talk and present it as such. You aren't helping, you haven't made a claim that might help you, you never pushed your biggest scum reads past a few posts.
Sometimes, mafia players like to try this thing called subtlety.

I'd have pushed my scumreads harder if I was more confident in them. Lacking confidence is not a particularly scummy trait, particularly in me.
Also pie, on your second post, was a typo, cephrir flipping town would mean katsuki is scum.
Please don't do this. Even I don't think this is necessarily true.

i'm going to answer now because the nuances of my answer are such that it won't affect spiffeh's answer

i waited until night 2 because tracker is an ability that inherently gets better as the game goes on and more scum die (better chance of catching the kill). i would have liked to wait much longer. but when night 2 rolled around i felt that i was looking pretty town and thought i might be nightkilled soon so i decided to just get it off.

I guess one of them (probs Katsuki) could still have bid on strongman and be lying about it, but... it seems unlikely

Aight, so listen to this, ok?

The thread opens, you claim to have watched GI and MC and MAgua viist Muffin.

GI makes an awful claim, but one that could be argued to be believable from a dejected player point of view.

MC then claims ONE OF GI'S ABILITIES.

Now, think about that: Why would MC claim one of GI's abilities? If we lynch GI, MC is automatically fucked, even if MC hadn't fucked up his claim.

In this case, if the plan was for Spiffeh to fake claim a guilty on someone, who would you do at this point?

GI, the one with all the abilities?

or MC, the one who dies if GI dies and has no abilities?

You'd fucking bus MC into the ground and lynch him first wiht the cop claim.

But instead, he drives the hammer in the coffin hom, GUARANTEEING there's NO CHANCE GI gets away from this.

Which ALSO means MC never lives either.

So think about it: MC's claim HAS to come from a place of wanting to live, right? there's no reason he'd attach himself to GI like that.

Especially where he was town read otherwise.

So I just don't see the continuity in motivations between those 3 players.
Oh and don't forget:

Spiffeh claimed his guilty on GI BEFORE MC claimed his ability IIRC.
doesnt that just prove that MC was hosed anyways

For the sake of my sanity, PLEASE don't use vote counts as your primary reason here.

I know you don't seem to like taking advice but I've been playing this game for a pretty long time and just looking at votes is a waste of time and will lead you wrong as often as not. There is way more information to be had from the way in which the votes were cast than you will ever glean from trying to make the game into a math problem.

Which she finished on rm

How many times did she vote flipped scum and vice versa
Yeha except my vote progressions that day make sense from a town perspective.

and yours don't.

im not trying to be super critical hebi, but sometimes it feels like you fit the evidence to a conclusion you've already come to rather than the other way around.

anyway idk who's scum but it looks like my thoughts won't matter today

pedit: yeah of course. don't vote yet, then.

also i'm being a hypocrite because i probably won't do what i told you to do until/unless it is lylo

One thing that bothers me is that I think LLD was the most likely to no-kill (i.e. play optimally, arguably -- the only other good option is shooting me, but if LLD is scum then I believe her plan is to mislynch me, so...), and I didn't like her post yesterday to the effect of hoping I had not used my ability

Why didn't you like it?

I was hoping you would realise basically everyone would no kill in that spot, and not use it.

I even said as much to Claire in the neighbourhood chat that day, talking about what I thought would happen and deliberately keeping my thoughts out of thread so it owuldn't influence scum's choices.
I don't necessarily expect good play from everyone in this game.

This is just making me nervous about you ceph, you could have brought up the no kill to cast more doubt on someone. You could easily be the no kill person.

In post 3466, Lady Lambdadelta wrote:
UNLESS YOU BELIEVE THE FOLLOWING IS TRUE, THE LAST SCUM CANNOT BE VANILLA:

Spiffeh knew that Magua would target Muffin with his Echo (never claimed) on Night 2, and there for saved his ability to prevent a paranoid vig shot from hitting a player.
Spiffeh knew Muffin would use his Paranoid Vig that night, and not his
Claimed Self Doctor
which to my mind is an assumption I think scum made given the Role block on Muffin that night.
Spiffeh knew No one would track or watch him that night, so he could SAFELY CLAIM to have TARGETTED GREYICE. He would have had to have known this BEFORE the day started, because that would be when he made the decision to use his ability.
Spiffer knew MurderCat would botch his claim in such a way that would make him an attractive vig target.
Further, Spiffeh knew both his partners would be caught that day as confirmed scum, thus creating the NEED for him to protect them with an ability.

This is a series of unlikely events, at which if any ONE of them is untrue, Spiffeh would just use his cop ability that night, and he's the kicker.

Spiffeh was scum and he used his ability on scum.

Wanna bet what would happen if Pie hadn't watched pie?

Muffin flips town, the town gathers its pitchforks to lynch Grey!Scum....

Spiffeh: "I have a cop innocent on GreyICE!"

And you bet your ass they wouldn't risk that kind of plan with the chance of GreyICE being watched or Spiffeh being tracked and thus revealing two people.

One more piece of evidence: Spiffeh didn't post his cop until very late in the day. I wonder if perhaps he waited to see if there were any incriminating claims before choosing what he did, and once Pie posted her thing, he switched it up and claimed the guilty for town cred.

But most importantly, all this evidence points to just one thing:

Only someone with an ability can be scum.

Which means it can only be Hebi, Ceph or IAI.

And I know Hebi isn't scum based on how things have played this game.

So we lynch IAI and we probably just win.

That simple.
I take issue with this. Spiffeh didn't have to know all of those things -- all he had to do was not use his cop ability as claimed, which who knows whether or not he might have done that or why. He also didn't claim it until the watcher was out -- so he was only betting that he had not been tracked on night 2, which seems well within reason.

I would say well played, but to be honest, I'm not really sure how true that is.

If I'm still alive when I'm in a better mood maybe I'll actually try, but probably not.

Hopefully the dead thread forgives me for being defeatist, but... it's not like that should be unexpected from me lately.
