I think it's probably a good idea to mass-claim whether we posses a zero or non-zero quantity of cocaine.

12 kilos seems extremely easy to accumulate, and the best defense is to ensure that towny players with 0 coke hammer the lynch.

Regardless, it seems like we just auto-lose at around 5-6 townies alive regardless of the number of scum left at that point.

I thought 165 was a strange way to approach game-breaking from a town mindset. I would have expected only the first question and without the "dumb question" prefix if there was legitimate interest and excitement in having potentially uncovered a breaking strategy.

I don't really think xyzzy is terribly scummy. 316 strikes me as very strange, but 71 was a sentiment similar to one I had, not realizing that the typical scum-majority win condition was absent (since it's unnecessary), which would be more salient to scum-xyzzy

I only see 164 as especially bad if bins is scum, and in that circumstance it's an exceptionally clumsy defense.

There's a pretty big difference between playerorder and alphabetical.

The former means that you copy and pasted the list in the OP, and used that to be sure you didn't miss anyone. The latter means that you copy and pasted the playerlist, then deliberately rearranged the list of players in a way that is objectively systematic after placing them into bins, which doesn't have any obvious motivation beyond the desire to eliminate any order-based interpretation.

I was pointing out something that struck me as oddly deliberate in what is theoretically an organic readslist, AD.

The most town thing wicked has said thus far is "thanks to Dan" in 906.

No, but I wanted an explanation for that. The town explanation I was expecting was something along the lines of "I take notes in excel or whatever and had them sorted already" rather than "look, I sort things, here's an example of me sorting in a very common way: playerlist order." The example given in 913 is sufficient to demonstrate that that's just a quirk of his, however.

"thanks to dan" is serious. It reflects a sense of relief that you have support in the conviction that xyzzy is scum, even if that support isn't the most friendly otherwise, which feels genuine-ish.

AD, that's more or less correct, except that my concerns about the slot mostly evolved after wicked's replace-in. The vote was placed with concern for the overall flow of the day given deadline approaching.

The organization point was a minor one that struck me as odd without an appropriate explanation. I don't really understand why you're treating it as some super important thing to me given you're aware of the vote's context.

I'm out for the night, but the tl;dr is:

I didn't see a reason for town-wicked not to lay out some thoughts about the game since he had been keeping up anyway. Scum-wicked would also want to post immediately, but it's possible that his reads while following along were sufficiently on point that it would be damaging to post them carelessly.

I don't really care much for the readslist. It doesn't seem terribly deep, despite being somewhat against the grain. I didn't like that it seemed heavily influenced by recent events, in contrast to what I'd expect from someone who had followed along. I didn't really notice the bulb thing that hito mentioned at the time, but I think it's a fair point in retrospect.

And PoE. There are some people off chesskid's shortlist I would not feel bad lynching, but the list is good enough that I don't care to stretch things on longer with a vanity wagon. I was more or less set on bins or wicked earlier today, the flow was heading wicked's way, and I'm ok with that. Deadline is basically here, and we should have time both to handle claims and let someone with no coke hammer.

Why is xyzzy the better choice (I'm assuming that's still your favorite)?

Ceph, here's the thing.

I'm a pretty weak PR, but my role does give me some insight into some of the mechanics of the setup.

An Even-night vig could be very elegantly implemented in a way that is very slightly weaker, but would be highly thematic and ties into a central mechanic. I was wondering if wicked was holding something back, but given the flavor, he's not. I think it's pretty unlikely that FG would have ignored this and created a straight-up even-night vig.
