Right, so am currently highly distracted, so I might have some typos and highly disjointed thought processes in here. I'll be re-explaining this all come Mondayish.

Randomly distributing reads

Ah, blast from the past. See, Brian, this is me, only two or three or even four years ago using that exact tactic.

The TAM/Elyse interactions are weird although not necessarily in a scummy way.

I feel pretty confident that TAM is town if Elyse is; I have a hard time believing scum-TAM would make it look like he is just now introducing himself to elyse since that implies they did not chat pregame at all. Thinking they are town/town atm, but I _could_ see this as scum pretending to have not shared pleasantries in the QT.

The truth of mastin is his saying "I could say the same of you" feels an awful lot like a mafia player trying to draw a connection to me. So once he flips people will saty "hey look mastin was being snooty to AP in a way that reads genuine". I guess I can admit a possibility mastin is town here and his vote on CTD kinda makes sense. But the other head coming in and "avowing" a RVS vote and unexplained townlean is certainly odd.

Svenkst Stal is a bad place for votes. He is probably town for the trolling (although that is a weak and early assertion; but he is par for the course to be sure) and the votes on him are informationless anyhow.

AP's early posting gave me an immediate townread. I don't see him posting 20 as scum. If a joke, it's one that feels too casual coming from a scum-AP. If serious, it shows the first effort at scumhunting in the game. 22 continues that same trend. Neither are strong tells--they could come from scum, and are easily faked. But I don't think they are.

32 in particular shows this strongest, when he shows what feels like a semi-serious comment about my posting, along with the jokish nature of the post. Again. Nothing that can't be faked--but which felt really, REALLY legitimate, enough to give me the townread, hence, the sheeping of his vote on CTD. (That was my way of saying, "yup, town".)

This one, not as sure. Why point out the interactions being weird if you think they're town-town? Why not just

All of AP's interactions with me look good (this post being no exception, where he continues showing that same paranoia of me that I've come to recognize as his town self), but that's the concerning part, here; he's mainly looking town in areas specifically relating to me. And not other areas. To be honest...I quite frankly didn't understand the CTD vote. It seems random, yeah, but...why CTD? Why not me?

(Again, Katsuki is a good hydra partner; that wasn't me voting him, yet it's exactly where I was planning to go. ) Brian Skies is a strong townread. It's too early to be certain, but Desp's posting looks like the town-Desp. FageGod's also conftown. Waffles looks like could be town. Sven's town. MollaDoni's probably town, too. I think I have more thoughts, but I can't bring them up.

Sorry. I wanted Katsuki to do most of the posting since I wanted to get more content before I got down to analyzing, but...well, it felt like it was time to get serious.

I'll see if I can get things up to more detail Monday. Might not be many people having posted (I know I'm forgetting reads on some of them), but we're already off to a strong start.

As for our scumreads, notsci seems set on DGB as scum and I'm inclined to agree with him, apparently he thinks kuribo is scum but I'm not sure, and I told him about my scumread on Elyse but he was just like "hmmm" so that's iffy.

I don't know about townreads at the moment. Everything that could possibly normally be a towntell for me is kind of blurring together with the less active players and just really fast posting which I'll admit was partially our fault. Catching up is ew right now.

It isn't a conspiracy. Peregrine says a DGB that is more about lynching than hunting D1 is a scum-DGB and that's my experience as well. The fact that Kuribo isn't seeing this (with the BS excuse that he will definitively state DGB's alignment tomorrow) after Always Sunny is troubling.

I really fail to see why so many people are thinking this. Katsuki is an AWESOME player. Katsuki's been everything I've ever wanted in a hydra partner. Totally awesome reads, and pushing them aggressively and consistently. My post...my post was weak. Katsuki on the other hand, is a MUCH stronger player.

More entertaining, more relatable, more able to channel the spirit of another player, more strong. Quite frankly, right now, I'm hoping--PRAYING--that I don't drag Katsuki DOWN with my play. Quite frankly, if I were playing with, say, Brian Skies instead of Katsuki (or as a solo player), Katsuki would be my strongest townread, I'd synch my reads up with Katsuki, and would be regretting not being able to hydra WITH Katsuki. (But fortunately, I'll have no such regrets. Katsuki is awesome. :P <3)

Buuut, to answer about Sven--general aura of towniness. Seriously, read his posts. They bleed relaxed, confident town player who's having a blast and getting shit down. :P

Except it's not. If FakeGod were lying, what happens when FG reaches what should be a lynch threshhold and the mod comes along? The mod shows FG's at L-1, and FG was fakeclaiming. Thus, FG's realclaiming. As scum or as town, it's pretty dang guaranteed FG's what he says he is. He's either hated-town or hated-scum. Elyse is quite correct in her conclusion about the unlikelihood of hated-scum, albeit for the wrong exact reason.

And reading a player as town for their claim IS quite legitimate, for a claim that has every reason to be town. If it's a more ambiguous role, sure, yeah. Could be scum or town. But for obvious reasons, a hated claim is NOT one of those more ambiguous roles. :P Thus, if it's a realclaim, there's no reason NOT to have a townread on FG.

This game's got too many pages for me to continue doing what I've been doing, which is reading along, barely scraping by a post, and then not having enough time to turn that post into content. Hell, even right now, I don't have enough time to get caught up to 51. What page was my last post on, 30? I'm a fast reader, but I only have 45 at absolute most minutes, and I'm not THAT fast. So let's try something different--starting over, from the beginning, so that I can give content based off of slightly-recent content. (Granted, not nearly recent enough, all things considered, but it'll have to do.)

This one I also liked, because he had that same casual feeling to his game. Relaxed, at ease, having fun...and despite that, seemingly still being semi-serious overall.

The TAM/Elyse interactions are weird although not necessarily in a scummy way.

I feel pretty confident that TAM is town if Elyse is; I have a hard time believing scum-TAM would make it look like he is just now introducing himself to elyse since that implies they did not chat pregame at all. Thinking they are town/town atm, but I _could_ see this as scum pretending to have not shared pleasantries in the QT.

The truth of mastin is his saying "I could say the same of you" feels an awful lot like a mafia player trying to draw a connection to me. So once he flips people will saty "hey look mastin was being snooty to AP in a way that reads genuine". I guess I can admit a possibility mastin is town here and his vote on CTD kinda makes sense. But the other head coming in and "avowing" a RVS vote and unexplained townlean is certainly odd.

Svenkst Stal is a bad place for votes. He is probably town for the trolling (although that is a weak and early assertion; but he is par for the course to be sure) and the votes on him are informationless anyhow.

This one, however, felt off. Pointing out the weird interactions, but thinking they're not scummy. That whole paragraph seems to have a bit of cognitive dissonance, however, in that it ignores scum-town possibilities. It effectively said that either they were both town or both scum. Despite this being apparently-serious content, AP kept his apparently-random vote on CTD. The bit about sven seems tacked in and unnecessary, and overall, this is a really random post. Aside from me, why just those names? Others had posted, and yet, he doesn't do analysis on them. Granted, yeah, if he doesn't have a read, that's fine, but looking here, he's basically saying he

doesn't

have reads ANYWAY. Which is, again, an issue.

Then there's the weirdness involved with the paragraph about me, as pointed out. It looked legitimate to me because AP was apparently showing paranoia on me (a good sign of him being town), but also not instantly jumping on it. (An even better one. AP-as-scum can show paranoia on me. The difference? AP-as-town drops it. AP-as-scum keeps it for the entire game. It happened in the 2+2 game offsite; it happened in the MGS/Harry Potter game. A town-AP reassesses and ultimately concludes that I'm town. A scum-AP will continue to push me. Him not pushing me here made me think town. (Later posts, of course, demonstrate otherwise, as he's continued to push me, a definite sign of AP-scum.)

But aside from the read, the actually reasoning is weird-as-hell, as pointed out by someone else. (I think by Waffles.) It

was

backwards from normal. If I were to be scum, and if I were to flip, then people would INSTANTLY assume AP was town because of it, not scum.

Also I have a few opinion I havent shared; but they are weaker and I want to discuss them more with BRO / give these reads time to become more solid / give bro a chance to post stuff.

I kinda skipped over this post before, but I really shouldn't have. Why would a town-AP fear giving out opinions? Running it through BRO looks like he is trying to say, "look at me, I have super secret town analysis!", while also holding it back to make sure it doesn't contain a scumclaim.

This also felt incredibly forced. In stark contrast to AP's posting, TAM feels out of place, nervous, and incredibly artificial.

Although I was literally just about to post that I felt weird about Waffles and for basically because I suspect them for this reason. Not a strong read, but Waffles feels a bit like they are trying to ease there way into the thread and are having difficulties doing so.

This post is also a double-edged one. On the one hand, it's acknowledging that he's been trying too hard, something I was legitimately concerned about. On the other hand, he was being hypocritical in doing so, and also didn't really have much of a basis.

I speak from experience, as someone who's played on a bundle-load of other sites in my time. Don't believe me? Then believe this.

Katsuki reminded me that I forgot Ghostlin on my town list, and is ticked off that I'm not using Katsuki's reads. I told Kats that right now, I'm basically doing my own thing right now. To put it bluntly--I was behind. My strategy that I'm doing right now will either get me caught up and elevate me into god-mode scumkiller tier, or just make things worse and place a further burden on Katsuki. But essentially...I don't want to continue to drag Katsuki down. I want to be an equal, working with Katsuki. I also want to be caught up in the thread, and to have my early biases removed. I want to have the effect of being the replacement I almost was forced to be, in that my reads come from outside-the-establishment and scum will be caught off-guard.

In other words, I'm in the process of trying to get my head 100% in the game. It's kinda in the game right now. I've sort-of gotten fired up. I've got fairly decent reads, albeit not reads entirely in synch with Katsuki's. (When I get caught up, any remaining dissonance will be hashed out with Kats.) But I'm not...

This is much worse than I thought. If AP actually thought DGB was town (and AP wouldn't be calling DGB this town, I don't think; AP-town would be PARANOID AS FUCK about her), he'd be trusting DGB's ability to read kuribo. DGB and kuribo have the sort of history where they know each other like books, and AP should be asking her what her read is--not telling her what his read is.

-She claims she thought Mastin was in the game, she checked to see he didn't post, but not that he might be one of 12 hydra heads, yet didn't reach the same conclusion or have the same issue with Mollie (199;220;225), another hydra head.
-Initial Duo vote, while null, gets followed up with screaming assault (118) RVS reason (136) then repetition of Duo=scum (138;148;159;263) more RVS reasons (225).
-Being more about the lynching and less about the hunting means scumDGB to me, esp. this early in the game.

While I think PV's wrong, this analysis really, REALLY resonates with me as being from a town him.

Her reads on myself, TAM, Doduo, Angry Bros, and FakeGod are all trash. I'm town because I did the same thing in a game that literally just ended. Angry leans scum because you disagree with them. Doduo is scum because NS is acting just like the time where *totally different situation that isn't even remotely relevant to this game* FakeGod is town because scum-Hated would be harsh. These are all horribly flawed reads

She isn't trying to figure anything out, she's finding something nice-sounding to say to back up whatever read she made up.

Aside from the BS bit about DGB, there's also the horribad switch onto Elyse. Elyse's read on Desp was understandable. Just like a player can be scum for doing the same thing in a game, a player can be town for doing the same thing. Not necessarily correct. But certainly not Trash. TAM's an excellent read. It's also trying to have cake and eating it, too. Desp finds Elyse suspicious for having a read that's identical to a different game, and is trying to push her as scum for having a read that's allegedly quite different to a game. Angry Bros is as mentioned scum for a hell of a lot more reasons than just bad reads. And the bit about FakeGod has already been addressed.

I want to emphasize how good this Elyse read is. Elyse is presuming FG to be telling the truth about being Hated. If she were considering the probability of him being mafia, she would have considered the possibility of him lying about the claim in some way. Instead she automatically presumes he is being honest about the claim. That is not what townies do.

Once more, for emphasis. (AFB was not voting Elyse at this point, by the way.) There's no reason for FG to be fakeclaiming. It quite literally is suicidal and makes no sense to claim falsely. Thus, the only options are town-hated, or scum-hated. A scum player seeing the claim will, far more likely than not, just blindly accept it, nod, and move on. A town player, however, will remain skeptical.

My eyes are closing for several seconds when I intended to just blink for a millisecond. My mind's wandering off in every possible direction, with only about a third of those directions being mafia and none of them being productive. (Like, totally-random things in my mind. Hard to explain unless you've actually done it.) Thought process is beginning to fall apart, and I'm sure my spelling will suffer an equal hit sooner or later.

To put it simply...I need some sleep, because I am having physical issues so much as just looking at the screen. Well, and typing, but increasingly incoherent typing, which will progressively have more typos in it and be less polished. This post reeks as being bullshit to justify a townread on a scumbuddy who by all rights doesn't deserve it. It's true, BRO's posting is decent. But it's far from "fired up", and even if it was, would not be a sign of him being town. Both of them ARE holding back. They've explicitly said multiple times, "but this is something I should run through the QT first", or things along those lines. THAT IS ABOUT AS BLATANTLY HOLDING BACK AS YOU CAN GET. And it's totally alignment-null for them to have the highest post counts. Hell. I think it's actually a mind scumtell if it's a tell at all, but not a chance in HELL that AP's posting a lot is town. I can literally show you pretty much any scum game of AP's--he gets to the top of the post count even if he is a replacement into the game. (PV's recently completed game shows it.) He was THE top poster in the 2p2 game nearly every single day, and even on the days he WASN'T the top poster, he was top three. (Again. Reminder. He was scum in that game.) He had more posts than any other player, and his overall posting rate per day was one of the top names in that entire game. If anything, him continuing the rapid-fire post rate is a scumtell. NOT a towntell.

I like the part where you flagrantly ignore that I'm 1/2 of this hydra, and am actually churning out a decent number of posts, despite the fact that I've lurked in all my completed scumgames.

The fact that you basically refuse to read me/interact with me in any way, and instead insist on only going after my partner, is fairly telling.

It's funny because you've been exclusively calling mastin scum since the beginning of this game.
