either with the [.b] tag or with the [.vote] tag. Unvotes are unnecessary to change your vote.
3.
Put all votes on a new line
If you disregard this rule, I may or may not count the vote.
3.1 I reserve the right to count or not count improper votes. Use fake vote gambits at your peril.
4. A majority of votes is needed to lynch. A lynch (unless otherwise altered) ends the Day. Please see Game Specific Rules.
5. This setup uses A Day section and a Night Section. It is a Day start game.
6. The deadline to lynch is generally
14 days
from the opening of the Day.
6.1. Failure to get a majority will result in a no lynch.
7. Scum have daytalk.
8. I reserve the right to change, add or delete any rule in the game. I reserve the right to modkill or force replace or take any other actions I see as necessary.
9. Night actions submitted to me will never be "provisional," but they may be changed IF you get back to me before I start writing the night scene.
10. Night deadlines will be set. But if I get all actions in before this point, I will start the game when it is convenient so long as at least 24 hours have lapsed
11. There will be a “Dead Thread” for those who have been killed, but it will be separated into Mafia and Town Dead Threads.
Activity
1. This game revolves around activity. You are expected to post at least once a day. If you do not respond to a prod, the moderator has discretion to replace you. Prods will occur with the following: every 48 hours in Day 1. Every 72 hours for Day 2 and after, except if it is within 48 hours of a lynch, in which case players will be prodded if they have not posted within 24 hours.
2. Only V/LAs that are properly marked (i.e. with the User CP) will be considered for replacement and prod reasons.
Moderator Error
The moderator is fallible. If you see a problem with a vote count, mention it in bold in the game. If you have another problem, please don't hesitate to PM the moderator.
At the start of each Day, a card is selected by the moderator (randomly, but certain card categories occur more than others). This card will be used not for that Day, but the following one (e.g. card drawn on Day 3 is for Day 4).
Day 1’s Event will be selected when the game fills. Day 2's will be picked at the start of Day 1.
LYLO Cards
When there are 15 or fewer players left in the game, the moderator will also draw from the LYLO Card Pile. These cards are
only
used if on the day it activates it is classic numerical lylo (regardless of what power roles exist): 2v1, 3v2, 4v3, 5v4, and 6v5. These cards will occur INSTEAD of the regular Event card if the situation is met.
Regular Event Cards
Common Events
(i.e. Player Choice) may occur many times during the game, but may not be done in consecutive Days.
Uncommon Events
may each individually occur twice during the game, but never within 4
3
Days of each other (e.g. Day 1 and 5 is okay, Day 1 and 4 is not).
Rare
and
Unique Events
may each individually occur once during the game
Event Cards are drawn a Day in advance. It will list both the regular event card and the lylo event card.
Events are for a Day and a Night, starting with Day.
Veto Powers
A Veto must be used the Day before it activates. A veto causes a new set of cards to be drawn (both regular and lylo). Any veto that occurs within 48 hours of the deadline will push the deadline to be 48 hours after the veto. Vetoes may not be used in "twilight" (i.e. after the hammer or after the deadline).
Town Veto
Town may veto one event during the game. To do so, players must simply
Vote: Veto
or VOTE: Veto. If a majority of players alive vote for it, the card(s) is/are vetoed and another (not the same) is drawn immediately. This MUST be done the Day before the card activates. The Mystery Card may be vetoed, but the card that is drawn via Mystery Card may not. The Town Veto vote may occur regardless of ANY events currently happening (e.g. Secret Ballot).
Mafia Veto
The mafia may veto one card during the game. This card may not occur for one day after.
To Veto a Card, simply type in the Mafia thread
VETO: <Card Name>
. Once the mod sees this, he will draw a new one that is not that card.
Player Choice Card
When Player Choice is drawn, every player in the game will have 48 hours to submit between 2 and 5 cards. These cards will be shuffled together and one drawn. Unselected cards will NOT be revealed to players. This will be the Event for the following Day.
Each Player may use up to 25 Zorbucks (Zs) each time Player Choice is drawn. Each Card they put in costs:
Common Cards: N/A
Uncommon Cards: 5 Zs each
Rare Cards: 10 Zs each
Unique Cards: 15 Zs each
Some examples:
Player A submits: 5 Split Universe Cards (5 Zs Each) for 25 Zs
Player B submits: 1 Always On (15 Zs) and 2 Sorority Pledge Day Cards (5 Zs each for 10 Zs) for 25 Zs
Player C submits: 1 Dia De Los Muertos Card (15 Zs) and 1 Double Action Card (10 Zs) for 25 Zs
Known Information
This setup is 20 Town vs. 5 Mafia. It has a fair number of power roles.
Night Resolution Order
0. Special
1. Roleblocking
2. Protecting
3. Mafia Kills/Traitor Recruitment
4. Vigilante Kills
5. Other Kills
6. Miscellaneous
7. Investigations
Same category actions occur simultaneously.
Roles that do two different things will do them in the order indicated. For example, a Jailkeeper with Roleblock and then Protect. If a Roleblocker roleblocks the jailkeeper, the jailkeeper will still roleblock, but they will not protect.
Investigation roles will receive "No Result" for everything except cop results (e.g. gunsmith sees no gun="no result", watcher sees no one visit="no result"). Cops will still return innocent/guilty.
Please note that both Time of Night and Geography will alter this.
Whenever Player Choice is drawn for the coming Day, everyone in the game gets 48 hours to submit between 2 and 5 cards. These will be shuffled and one will be drawn. Players will NOT be shown undrawn cards (i.e. you submit your cards anonymously). Please see the “Player Choice” section above. Not available Day 1
Uncommon Events (3 Cards Each)
Split Universe.
The main thread is paused. Two Private sub threads are created, as close to half of the game as possible in each distributed completely randomly. Two lynches occur on this day. Only occurs if 12 or more players and at least 3 mafia members. If there are fewer, this card still splits the game into two private threads, but the main thread is open for votes only (only one lynch in this case).
Unavailable until Day 10
Sorority Pledge Day.
Everyone gets put into neighborhoods. If able, the neighborhoods will be 4 or more players large. The neighborhoods are closed after the Night.
Unavailable until Day 11
Geography.
Night actions determined by geography. Players are placed randomly in a geographic shape. Night actions are resolved based on how close players are together. For example, a killer who targets a player in the same room will not be stopped by a Doctor who is 2 rooms away. Night actions of the same number of rooms are decided using the normal night resolution order.
Nomination Day.
Players are randomly broken into groups of 3 or more with a private thread. They must nominate one of their members. The nominated players from each group are the only players that may be lynched that Day. Each group has 48 hours to nominate someone. If no one is selected, the mafia will choose who to nominate from the group. Not selected if there are fewer than 11 or fewer players alive. Not available Day 1.
Not available again until Day Seven
Mystery Card.
The actual card is not drawn until the Day it will occur, giving no warning and may not be vetoed. Not available Day 1.
Rare Events (2 Cards Each)
Latency.
All night actions are submitted as normal, but they don’t occur until after the lynch the following Day. Not available Day 1.
Day Action.
Night actions may be used during Day, no night actions will occur following night. Actions are submitted via a google drive form and will be counted in the order they are received. This means that there will be no Night.
Secret Ballot Day.
Instead of a normal lynch, every 48 hours, each player gets one vote submitted anonymously. A decreasing threshold is held and if a player reaches this threshold, they are lynched. The numerical results from each Ballot are shown, but not who voted for whom. Not available Day 1.
Double Action.
Every Night action (including mafia kill) can be performed twice. If the second mafia kill would lead to an outright mafia win, it will be blocked (mafia must submit their kills in preferential order).
Unavailable after being used Day/Night Two
Vote For Event.
48 hours to vote, plurality wins. May not select a Unique Event. Unavailable for Day 1.
Post...al Bomb.
The Post # the Day begins is Post X. The Deadline is now Post X+(7*Players Alive) or the time deadline, whichever comes first. If the day deadlines by post count, each player may make exactly one post with a vote within 24 hours of the deadline being reached by post. Unavailable Day 1.
Vote For Everyone.
Players may vote for as many other players as they would like (though no more than once per player). If you wish to remove only one of your votes, you must specify who you are unvoting. General
unvote
will remove all your votes.
Modified Savior.
Majority removes a player from contention on a lynch. Every 48 hours with no saving, the player(s) with the most votes are removed from contention for lynch. Players must have 2 or more votes to be saved. Continues until one person is remaining unsaved. This person is lynched. Use
Save: <Player>
Unique Events (1 Card Each)
Influence.
(Each Person starts with X powered votes, where the number of votes will be determined by how many votes a person has. 0 Votes On Person = 10 votes, >9 is 9 votes, >19 is 8 votes, > 29 is 7 votes, etc.A person is lynched when they have a majority of the currently possible votes on them. Votes are counted for official purposes ONCE a day at a given time). Power of votes for the current set of votes is determined by the previous day’s vote count. Unavailable Day 1.
Unavailable. Used Day 5
All Or Nothing Day/Normal Day
(players must choose three people to lynch, one after another. If they are all scum, they are lynched. if any are not scum, they are not lynched. those who have been selected to be lynched may still vote). Deadline is 18 days for the entire process. Will not be drawn if there are 3 or fewer mafia members. Becomes a completely Normal Day if there are fewer than 3 mafia players remaining when card would activate. Not available Day 1 or 2. May Not Be a Mystery Card.
New Thread.
Main Thread is Hidden for a Day, Players Get a New One. Not available Day 1.
Time of Night.
Roles are union and can only work up to 8 hour nights. Each night action must be accompanied by the time period that you want to do your actions, between 6pm and 8am of Night X. Actions will resolve based on their start time. The resolution order will only come into play if both have the same start time. Submit only whole numbered hours between 6 and 8am.
Dia De Los Muertos.
The dead rejoin the thread but do not have a vote. The ghosts are encouraged to adopt an appropriately spectral attitude. Any ghost that votes will be sent back to the Land of the Dead (i.e. removed from posting). After the Day is over, the ghosts are removed. Not available Day 1.
Vetoed by Mafia on Day 2. Not available to be selected until Day 5
Always On Rules.
You may talk to other players via PM, IM, QT, Google Hangout or in person. You may not copy and paste any conversation into the game, but you may reference it. You may not record interactions except for your own viewing. Not available Day 1.
Black Light Day.
Mysterious Effect, generally town positive. Not available Day 1.
Unavailable because used Day 4.
Hydra Kids, Hydra Wife.
Everyone is paired off. The players who have the lowest vote totals in the final vote counts of each day on them (Influence Day is Votes/10) will be one half of each pair and the other half will be made up of the highest vote totals in the final vote counts of each day. (so the highest vote total will be with the lowest) In the case of ties, it will be randomly selected. Players do not actually post with a hydra account but rather share a private topic and must vote for pairs of people. Two people, thus, will be lynched. Players in pairs may vote for different pairs if they wish. They may also self-vote. In the case of an odd number, one player is excluded and may not be voted that day, though he does have a vote. Not available with 13 or fewer players.
Vi’s Cry_Wolf.
Everyone in the game is given a random investigation result that has a certain percent chance of being true. For example, you might receive a PM that says “With X% certainty, you believe Zoraster is town.” X is between 51 and 65%.
RedCoyote’s Two Room.
Everyone must choose the Red Room or the Blue Room via PM. Any attempt to target someone who isn’t in your room will return a “No Result.”
LYLO Event Cards
No Quick Lynches.
Two Consecutive Lynches Required to Lynch Player (after a player reaches majority, all votes are removed and players must vote to lynch the same player again for the lynch to go through. Any player that reaches two majorities will be lynched) (3 Cards)
3 Person Shootout/Normal Day.
All three players given a gun with one shot in it for a Day shoot out.
Only for 2v1 LYO. If occurs without 3 person lylo, this becomes a “Normal Day” card
(3 Cards)
Two Players Added.
Add two players to the game, one scum and one town. Game is now White Flag. (may only occur once in the game) (1 Card)
Pick The Mafia/Normal Day.
For 5v4 and 6v5 player versions ONLY: Before the Day begins via PM, each player may pick three (for 5v4) or four (for 6v5) from the game. If at least 3 out of 5 towns members pick only scum (for 5v4) or 4 out of 6 members pick only scum (for 6v5), after the lynch that day, the mafia must choose one mafia member to die. (1 Card)
Dia De Los Muertos Lylo Version.
The dead rejoin the thread but do not have a vote. The ghosts are encouraged to adopt an appropriately spectral attitude. Any ghost that votes will be sent back to the Land of the Dead (i.e. removed from posting). After the Day is over, the ghosts are removed. (1 Card)
Normal Day
(5 Cards)
Event Elaboration and Clarifications
Spoiler: Elaboration
Player Choice
Submissions must be made in the 48 hours at the start of the Day that the card is DRAWN. Cards submitted when Player Choice is drawn may not violate the rules against consecutive play or cards unavailable by veto. Every player MUST submit a card. Any player who does not
WILL BE REPLACED
.
Split Universe
One or both subgames may choose to No Lynch.
Sorority Pledge Day
Copy and pasting from a Sorority Neighborhood is prohibited
Geography
Players are distributed randomly but evenly among the rooms so that no room has more than one more than the other rooms.
Shapes Used:
For example, in the 18+ player version, Room 1 is 3 rooms from 4, 2 rooms from 3 and 5, and 1 room from 6 and 2.
For all actions, the room that a player STARTED the night in is the room that’s used, regardless of the actions they take.
Follower type roles will get a result if they follow someone who is taking the same or longer period of time, but will return no result if they follow someone before that. For example, I am a tracker 1 room from Vi. Vi is a vigilante and kills a target in his own room. I will NOT get a result. However, if Vi were targeting someone in my room (1 room away as well), I WILL get a result.
Nomination Day
In the case no player from a group is nominated, the mafia have 24 hours to choose the player to be nominated from a group. The main thread will be unavailable during the nomination period, and after the nomination period, the nomination threads will be locked. Copying and Pasting from Nomination thread to Main thread is prohibited, but the reverse is okay.
Mystery Card
Certain Cards may not be selected: Vote for an Event, Player Choice, All or Nothing. Cards that could not otherwise be picked due to having been already chosen recently or vetoed will not be available.
Latency
As an example. Day 2 Latency is drawn. Day 3 Latency is activated. Night 3 I submit Watch Vi. Nothing happens Night 3. Day 4 occurs. Night 4 my Watch on Vi actually activates unless I was lynched in the meantime.
Day Action
Day actions will be submitted via google form and assessed based on the time submitted. Any KILLING action submitted will nullify actions that were submitted after the killing action (so that you don’t end up targeting a dead guy just because the mod wasn’t around). The mod will make every attempt to keep on top of these events, but there may be some delay.
Secret Ballot
The threshold for lynching someone is as follows:
1 (after first 48 hours). 70%, rounded down
2 (after next 48 hours). 65%, rounded down
3. 60%, rounded down (but at least majority)
4. Majority
5. Majority
6. 40%, rounded up
7. 30%, rounded up, DEADLINE
Double Action
Two actions should be submitted at the same time. Mafia must prioritize their two kills. One-shot actions may only be used once, but one-shot modifiers will be used on all actions during that day (a player may not choose to use a modifier on only one of their actions if they perform two actions). You may choose to only carry out one action instead of the allowed two.
Influence
Just to highlight: Power for vote starts at 10 for the first vote count, and after that, the vote power is according to the previous official vote count. The moderator may decide to issue unofficial vote counts during the Day, but the official ones are the only ones that COUNT. The moderator will do his best to post the official vote count at the specific time of day, but due to life may do so after. If that happens, the moderator will use only votes that occur up to the specified time.
Dia De Los Muertos
Town and Scum will have different Dead Threads. Dead players will not be replaced or prodded except to receive a PM notifying them that they can post for that Day.
Cry Wolf
Chances for each percent certainty:
51% certainty: 50% chance
55%: 30%
60%: 15%
65%: 5%
Lylo Shootout
The game has no more night at this point. Here are the possibilities to end the game:
Town A shoots Town B. Mafia shoots Town A. Mafia Wins
Town A shoots Mafia Town Wins.
Town B shoots Town A. Mafia Shoots Town B. Mafia Wins.
Town B shoots Mafia. Town Wins.
Mafia shoots Town A. Town B shoots Mafia. Town Wins
Mafia shoots Town B. Town A shoots Mafia. Town Wins.
