Rules, part 1:
1. Be nice, have fun. I will be the arbiter of what 'nice' is, and I like to think I'm fairly tolerant.
2. Do not discuss the game outside the game thread unless your Role PM specifies that you may do so.
3. Do not quote private communication with me directly. Paraphrasing is acceptable; if you're not sure whether a post violates this rule, ask me or don't post it. You also may not pretend to quote communications with me. This includes your Role PM.
4. My color is green; please don't use it.
5. Do not decrease the size of your text or otherwise make it difficult to read.
6. I reserve the right to warn, force-replace, or modkill as I deem necessary. Don't push it.
7. Do not discuss other ongoing games in this thread.
8. Attempts to circumvent these rules via semantics will be treated harshly.
9. I reserve the right to add to or change the rules.
10. Prods go out after 48 hours. Failure to post in a timely fashion after a prod, or accumulating a sufficient number of prods (three unless I feel extremely nice), may result in force replacement at my discretion.
11. You may not communicate outside your tribe unless your role allows you to do so. Daytalk is enabled by default for all factions. Mafia members may communicate while not on the same tribe, because I said so.
12. Don't be stupid.
13. Encryption is only allowable if enough information is given for anyone to decode it. Per site rules, using bbcode for encryption purposes is not allowed.
Rules, part 2, and also setup information:
0. This game uses the
STFU guidelines.
1. This game does not have normal voting. All in-thread votes will be ignored. Vote during the voting phase (or before or after, if your role dictates) by PMing me.
2. All votes may be final. If you manage to change your vote before everyone has voted, good for you; if all the votes come in, no further changes will be accepted.
3. This game uses a plurality lynch. When the votes are revealed, the player with the most votes is eliminated.
4. No bah posts. If you post while dead, I will revoke your PT access.
5. No Lynch is not an option in this game. The game is Nightless.
6. To begin with, Days will have a deadline of two weeks. If all players wish to proceed sooner, then it shall be so. In the merge phase, days will last (n + 2) days, where n is the number of players, down to a minimum of 7 days. As this game is experimental, these deadlines may be too long. Please feel free to give feedback, and they may be changed.
7. Voting Phase lasts 48 hours or until everyone votes, whichever comes first. If you do not submit a vote, you will vote for yourself. You may not submit a vote for yourself on purpose. You may only vote for players on your tribe.
8. Once the merge phase of the game is underway, there will be a competition every round. These will consist of small games you can choose to participate in, not unlike something you might find in Mish Mash except that they will not be time-consuming unless, in some cases, you want them to be. The player who performs the best in each challenge cannot be voted for on the corresponding Day.
9. On Day 2, I will initiate a special competition, the winners of which will each gain an Idol. Idols are played in secret during the voting phase and nullify all votes cast against a player of the Idol user's choosing, including themselves. No further Idols will be distributed.
10. It is guaranteed that there is no way I will reveal who voted for whom at any point in any way, so players are not accountable for their votes, though I will reveal how many votes each player received. In the event of a tie, there will be a brief chance for the tied players to post, followed by a revote. In a revote, only the tied players can be voted for, and the tied players will not vote. If this does not resolve the tie, the tie will be resolved as follows:
i. If either tied player voted for themselves and the other did not, the selfvoter is eliminated.
ii. If the tribes have merged, the player with individual immunity breaks the tie.
iii. The player who has voted for themselves the most times over the course of the game is eliminated.
iv. The tied player with more past votes against them is eliminated.
v. If the tribes have merged, the tied player who has won individual immunity the greatest number of times is eliminated.
vi. If the tribes have merged, the tied player who has won individual immunity the most recently is eliminated.
vii. Tiebreaker challenge.
11. If there are three players left in the game and a win condition has not been achieved (note: in this game, scum do not necessarily win when they have the majority), the game will proceed to a jury vote. The seven most recently eliminated players will get the opportunity to address the remaining players and briefly interact with them before secretly voting on which player to declare the Sole Survivor. The Sole Survivor's faction wins. I will discuss the format of Final Tribal Council should one actually occur; right now, it is not particularly relevant. Jurors can be replaced.
If there is a tie at Final Tribal Council, the tie will be resolved in the following manner:
i. Revote.
ii. The tied player who has voted for themselves the most times over the course of the game loses.
iii. The tied player with the most past votes cast against them by other players loses.
iv. The tied player who won individual immunity the most times loses.
v. The tied player who won individual immunity the most recently loses.
vi. The tied player whose role is causing the tie is treated as though they were vanilla.
