Oh, and I don't think it really matters where those individuals were. The simple fact is three times in this game individuals made unilateral decisions to force lynches, and every one of those occasions resulted in a town death, with no chance of a scum death happening instead.

pedit: The ability existed to be a trap for bad mechanical players FA(in the early game), and a benefit/counter to scum absurdity in the late game. You were supposed to save it until late game to get optimal benefit out of it, not go off using it every day.

FA, the quicker you realise that A50 vigged you because the town bloc didn't trust your judgement in the future, and it wasn't entirely because I was conf town, the better.

Weeeeell half the town block were the scum and they actaully backed us xD

I actually want to discuss this, why do you feel optimal town play is to accept the gladiate ?

You say they do not know the alignment of the person doing it, I will ask again. Which scum in their right mind ASKS you if you want to die or reveal themselves in a gladiate with you. Trapping themselves as potential lynch target?
I fully belieave(maybe biased cause I knew me) that it was a 100% obvious that this was coming from another town slot. If you are town, you make the choice of forcing a lynch between two townies instead of dying for the sake of town.

NOW, I can see someone choosing to gladiate if they feel their role is really important to fight for, I can see it being the case if you are somone globally townread and this came out of the blue(Meaning it is really fishy coming from town) But if you realise you are a low hanging fruit, a slot scumread by a lot of people and you just got this message, the chance of it being from scum are as close to 0 as you can get in this game without mod info.

I created your role to have a lot of power and to be able to make its own judgment calls.
I wanted to reflect the way the character proceeded about their own thoughts on hunters.
You're someone who is powerful and capable of acting on that power.
Yes, it is one way to keep any single player from getting too much voting power.
In the game, Brador kills Hunters who try to discover the secret of the Hunt.
In the same way, Brador in this game is meant to kill Hunters and Scum alike--any player who they perceive as getting too close to dominating the outcome of the game.

A security measure. Anti-town? Yes. But powerful and so much so it probably shouldn't be considered a scum role so easily.

Town had myriad ways of killing scum. Off the top of my head?
House's role could vig kill with enough beasthood
Sensei's role could vig kill any night and since it was a Nightmare Event, it would have a very low chance of being blocked/stopped unless the target had a Blood Vial.
R&L's role could vig kill that would become a gladiate if the kill was denied.
Almost50 could vig kill any flavor-claim, and on failure for the kill to resolve (due to hitting a fake-claim), it would out the player as lying about their flavor.

This was all meant to be curtailed and mitigated by the Blood Vial system and Ranger's role.
Unfortunately, Ranger really didn't make much use of his role and the Blood Vials didn't see a ton of use, either.

This game did have a lot of town utility, relatively. 3/4 scum roles were centered around being Neighborizers which have to invite themselves at some point and the other one was just a BP. Unfortunately pretty much all of town's killing abilities got aimed at other town while scum amassed a huge amount of power.

I recently had a role in marathon which I thought was a cool way of using a gladiator. In addition to gladiating my target, it also made them hated.
