My family will be on vacations for a few different weeks over the summer. I don't know the exact weeks, but they do this every year and I traditionally stay home and fend for myself. I have no plans to invite you without their knowledge, but they're reasonably open-minded. Me hosting a meet is being considered as a reward for getting my fucking act together, so we'll see about that.

Dunno--I'll ask in a few weeks. Hold out until I've actually signed up for this class and had a bit of time with it. This is still only a possibility, and they know it. (I'm a bit freaked out by the size of the list Reckoner posted, even though I consciously know that a lot of you won't make it. A small number of you calling might be best.)

We've just renovated the basement, so it's big and carpeted but still pretty empty--I think that should do it even before you factor in the rooms of the house that people actually use. (The basement also locks from the outside, in case Reckoner gets too feisty.) We do have a backyard as well, and we live across from a traffic island. Blank space is not really an issue.

I don't think so. Feel free to leave something after the meet ends, though.

Parking's one thing we don't have a lot of, so if you're going to get a carpool, make it count. Public transportation around here is quite good, though. I can easily pick up anyone at the Port Authority in New York, and the train station is a few blocks away from that. There's also a route to Newark Airport, which I'm not as fluent with.

I wasn't 100% clear on the schedule when I posted that, and wanted to get a date out; I've since confirmed that the 14th is indeed when it's going to be. Having said that--while it's based around that weekend, it's definitely also going to run through some of the weekdays surrounding that, if you can stay. It will be a long meet, one that is certainly appealing enough for British 'Scummers to purchase plane tickets for.

I was going to suggest Greyhound, but those Wilmington-NY trips are like 24 hours. That's insane.

I will absolutely not tolerate drugs. I can't really control the behavior of people before they get here, but keep in mind that most of the people driving here will be in large carpools, and this area itself has pretty reliable public transportation.
