Tbh I would feel incredibly weird going to Melbourne just to visit a 15 year old.

If I were planning on taking a vacation in Australia sometime next year, I would like to know the following:

Where should I go/stay?
Who would come hang out with me?
Who could I stay with if I wanted to couch surf around australia?
What time is the best time to come weather wise?
How much money would I need per day to be pretty comfortable with my food/entertainment expenses?
What are the parts/attractions/sights in Australia that I absolutely can't miss?

I think I'm off from like the 20th of December until either the 4th or 11th of January.

How long have you got? Getting around Australia is like getting around America, except there is nothing in the middle.

I was thinking like a week? Maybe more? It depends. If I can defray the cost of accommodations by staying with scummers a bunch of nights it becomes a lot more feasible.

even a week and a half off work could be 12ish days instead of 7.
Taking a break from the site.

A week and a half off work would probably only give you a week actually in Australia.

I unfortunately can't give anyone a place to stay, but if anyone's in Sydney and wants to do anything I'm totally in.
