WHAT GOD SHOWED ME IN THE WEE HOURS OF 3 AM THIS MORNING. I SAW THIS FLAG THEN GOD SPOKE FURTHER TO ME ABOUT IT. THIS FLAG WILL EVENTUALLY REPLACE THE FLAG OF OUR FOREFATHERS. IT WILL FLY IN EVERY MILITARY BASE ACROSS THIS LAND. AND IN EVERY PUBLIC SECTOR OF THIS NATION INCLUDING PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND WAY BEYOND THAT. THE MILITARY WILL ENFORCE ITS USE, AND IT WILL BE USED TO MARK THE TRUE CHRISTIANS IN THIS NATION BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT FLY IT NOR HONOR IT, BECAUSE OF WHAT THEY KNOW IT STANDS FOR. AN ALLEGIANCE WILL BE WRITTEN FOR IT BY THE SPIRIT OF THE ANTI CHRIST FOR THE NEW WORLD ORDER. ALL THOSE WHO REFUSE TO SAY IT WHEN COMMANDED WILL BE PUNISHED . THE PUNISHMENT WILL INCREASE AS THEY PUSH THIS ON THE PUBLIC AND INCREASING PERSECUTION WILL COME AGAINST CHRISTIANS REFUSING TO HONOR THIS NEW FLAG, AND WHAT IT STANDS FOR. MY DAUGHTER WHEN SHE WAS 12 YEARS OLD HEARD THE LORD SPEAK TO HER IN HER BEDROOM IN A AUDIBLE VOICE AND HE TOLD HER THAT NIGHT SHE WAS GOING TO FALL INTO A DEEP SLEEP THEN DREAM. MY DAUGHTER DREAMED THAT THE NEW LAW MAKERS WERE COMING HERE TO AMERICA, AND THEY WOULD TAKE AWAY ALL THE BIBLES FROM THE CHRISTIANS ,AND CLOSE DOWN EVERY CHRISTIAN SCHOOL, AND ALL THOSE WHO REFUSED TO STOP PRAYING IN THE NAME OF JESUS AND ALL THOSE WHO TRIED TO READ THE BIBLE WERE GOING TO BE DISENFRANCHISED IN THIS NATION, AND WORSE. HUNTED DOWN AND KILLED ,AND LOOKED UPON AS ENEMIES OF THE STATE. THIS IS COMING UPON US IN THE VERY NEAR FUTURE . THIS RAINBOW COLORED FLAG WILL BECOME AMERICAS NEW NATIONAL SYMBOL IN THIS NATION. I WILL RELEASE MORE LATER BUT FOR NOW THINK ABOUT THESE THINGS, AND DECIDE NOW WHERE YOU WILL STAND, AND DO NOT BE AFRAID TO STAND WITH JESUS HE WILL BE WITH US AT THIS TIME. THE MARK OF THE BEAST IS COMING UPON US, AND THE PEOPLE WHO SUPPORT THIS NEW FLAG ARE THE KIND OF PEOPLE THAT WILL BE THE FIRST ONES TO STAND IN LINE TO RECEIVE IT. THIS AS YOU KNOW WILL BE A MARK ON THE FOREHEAD OR ON THE HAND AS THE BOOK OF REVELATIONS TELLS US. THE GOVERNMENT IS GOING TO KEEP TACK OF HER OWN WICKED BRAINWASHED FULLY COOPERATIVE CHILDREN BUT REMEMBER GOD HAS SAID HE ALSO HAS A MARK ON HIS PEOPLE. AND HE CALLS IT THE MIND OF CHRIST. HE HAS SEALED US WITH THAT MARK IN OUR HEARTS AND IN OUR MINDS.CHOOSE YOU THIS DAY WHO YOU WILL SERVE, CHRIST OR THE NEW WORLD ORDER. THIS NEW RAINBOW COLORED FLAG IS UNTO US THE SAME AS THE GOLDEN STATURE WAS TO DANIAL AND THE 3 HEBREW CHILDREN WHO REFUSED TO BOW THE KNEE TO THE GOLDEN IMAGE WHEN THE MUSIC PLAYED. AND ALL BOWED DOWN TO WORSHIP THE GOLDEN STATUE. ALL BUT DANIAL, AND THE 3 HEBREW CHILDREN WHO GOD RESCUED FROM THE BURNING FLAMES THEY THREW THEM INTO.

So far, Jeb Bush's plan to boost incomes doesn't involve higher wages, increased overtime eligibility or greater educational opportunity — instead, "people need to work longer hours and through their productivity gain more income for their families."

that looks like evidence that she gave speeches so that she could make money
wouldn't you agree to make speeches if people gave you 25 million dollars to do it?

the current campaign's not about weeding out the last Klanmen
it's about changing a society that systematically privileges whites over blacks
many more than 5% of Americans accept, enable, and sustain that inequality

to say "i don't know why bernie isn't winning with minorities; his positions are better for minorities after all" is silly because that logic can be applied to any demographic. "i don't know why bernie isn't winning with old white people; his positions are better for them after all"; the response to the latter is "old white people don't think so"
minorities don't think so
they are pragmatic and generally center-left economically
they remember the clinton years as pretty great and just want that happen again
not "a political revolution" — they see that as white people stuff and the race-blind rhetoric of sanders and warren just reinforces that
also clinton's been better at pitching to people of color than bernie; her very first policy speech was on racialized police brutality
for sanders, racial issues are more clearly side issues; somehow Hillary's pandering on that front somehow comes off as more genuine than Sanders' pandering
to think that bernie is losing votes because he's not a minority is not just offensive; it really reveals a lack of understanding of how minority people think; they're generally behind your regular white liberal voter on social issues like sexism and marriage equality. When the Black Lives Matter leaders complained that Hillary didn't care about black trans issues, that demonstrated more clearly than anything else that they really were quite detached politically from the rest of the black community on social issues.
And they aren't radical on the economy, either. Right-wing caricatures of them as only wanting more and more government handouts are just that — caricatures. And all of this is just the proof no one is paying attention to.

if you want to live life the hard way for no good reason, that's fine and thanks for saving the taxpayer money; i might even make the same decision in the same situation
but don't force other people to go down the same path, especially when they have families and face obstacles you don't

i clicked the link kmd and that's not what she said at all
“I mean if we’re honest, for a lot of well-meaning, open-minded white people, the sight of a young black man in a hoodie still evokes a twinge of fear,” Clinton said.
this is really true (and has been shown scientifically) and the fact that it isn't talked about is part of what's wrong with the national conversation about race
Ask her why she needed a private email account to discuss top secret government info and if it ever crossed her mind that the account could be hacked compromising the security of our nation.
i do think i should ask about her emails
Ask about Benghazi.
ask what about benghazi?
Ask about why she thought that having to sell some estates meant she could relate to the poor.
i think i already know the answer to this question
But like
It's right
do you think class-based appeals are just more feasible politically or do you really think that the troubles faced by minorities in America are just class issues

but monkeyman
you have to spend money to make money
if we decide that spending needs to get cut down and then cut spending on programs that prevent harms to our average citizen by, say, starving them, denying them healthcare, and so forth
don't you see how that might actually increase the spending-revenue deficit?
In post 463, sthar8 wrote:So monkey, we should keep the government programs that allow poor people to borrow huge amounts of money they might never be able to pay back in order to go to college, but cut the programs that feed them until they're old enough to have a legal income?
I think you need less generalities and more specifics.
I'm not an economist. All I know is we need to spend less.
you see, this just isn't true
it's more important that we
make more
not just by raising taxes, but by investing in our citizens so that they have more income that can be taxed at current rates
your whole position only makes sense when you assume that providing our people things like health care, education, safety nets, and so forth don't actually improve the economic welfare of our citizenry
even if you ignore the fact that depriving people of things like health care, food and good education is just morally wrong and keeps people from flourishing, liberal economics is good economics and that is why liberal presidents tend to perform better on the economy than conservative ones

Genetically speaking, I could never be successful in sports like basketball or football, for a bunch of reasons..
not to sound condescending, but it sounds like you have no idea how many outlandishly talented basketball players have failed due to lack of work ethic and how many relatively untalented players have flourished due to work ethic
genetics matter, but in a skill-based field you still have to put in the work to be the best
industriousness is also a trait that to some extent can be passed down genetically
i don't see how this matters, though
we don't think people born with Down syndrome should live a life of poverty and deprivation, so why should we be okay with the same for people born with less debilitating genetic disadvantages
