/Powerful maybe. I really want to be there, it's the right week for my Easter Break, and I feel no shame spending money to travel. Only bummer is the garbage Canadian dollar right now. It's literally at $2 per 1GBP right now.

In what I can only describe as blind luck, my trip probably just got a shitload cheaper. WestJet is starting flights to Gatwick from Calgary in the new year.

I've begun the process of convincing my two friends to come with me. They may end up going on the ol' British Tour while I fuck off to the woods and then meet them back in London for a day and fly back. This is of course part of my slightly grander scheme of convincing them to move to the UK with me in the near future so we can all teach in a sane country. What I'm saying is that I might have 2 bodies for a night or two, but they can sleep in my spot and I'll take the couch.

At least there are jobs in the UK in actual cities. I'm in another remote town of about 3000 this year because of a hugely competitive job market in Canada

Man, I wish I could swing that. Looks like a really great time. Unfortunately, my Easter Break here is only a week, so I have to leave on the 1st at the latest. Saskatchewan is hard enough to get to from inside Canada, let alone from the UK.

Also, what is your avatar? For a long time, I thought the grasshopper was smoking a cigarette, but it actually appears the grasshopper is playing cricket and knocking one for six up an unsuspecting spider?
Depending on your return date, I have a late flight out of Gatwick, and could be swayed towards leaving in the morning and whirlwind-sightseeing London that afternoon/evening.

Oooh, have you already booked your flights bv? I didn't realise that! Have you put your times/dates in the skype chat?

What chamber said.
Not yet, but there's only one real flight choice. I'm basically waiting on Christmas/Winter Flight Sales to try and save a couple bucks. The Canadian Dollar is still depressingly bad against the Pound.

So I haven't booked a flight yet because A) I'm trying to stick to a budget pre-Xmas, and B) My passport is still not back, and the flights jumped by $500 in the last week. I'm assuming this is Air Canada being stupid in the pre-Xmas rush, but if it stays at that price I'm probably out. I love you guys, but an entire month's salary for a week trip is WAY out of my budget.
