Caffwagon 2010 in North New Jersey (Aug 12 - Aug 18)

So, at first, I was going to host a meet because I thought I'd be living in an apartment or house off-campus in the Fall. Turns out... yeah, I'm not.

Then Ythan was going to host it instead since he goes to the same college that I'm about to transfer to, and... then he ended up not having the spare room/house like he thought he would.

So now I come to you, MafiaScum community, to organize and find someone to host a meet for us East Coasters. I spoke with Ether, and she said there's a slim (to none) chance her parents would allow her to host a meet at her house one week while they're out of town, but that it's not TOO likely so I should come to the General Discussion board and see who else on the East Coast would want to host a meet.

I'm willing to drive pretty much anywhere from Jersey down to Florida. I'm sure there are others who'd be interested depending on when it happens and where it happens. Also, if it can't happen by the end of summer (which it likely won't due to the timing of this), then we can figure out when most people can come and plan it for the early fall sometime.

Though I'd prefer for it to be in August/late summer.

Thanks to Ether's awesome parents, we'll all be heading up there for some games, fun, mafia, etc. She'll be giving out more specific directions to the attendees as we get closer to the date of the meet. Just safely assume if you can get to NYC, you'll be close to her house. Anyway... first, a few ground rules for the meet.

Caffwagon 2010 Rules (from Ether!):

1. Don't break shit.
   
2. If you want to play a specific game, bring it.
   
3. Don't permanently ruin any interior fabrics with your sloppy eating habits, etc.
   
4. No smoking indoors. If you're going to do it, walk to the
   traffic island
   median away from the house.
   
5. Bring your own alcohol.
   
6. If you're going to drink, you have to be stupid and embarrassing about it.
   
7. Stay out of Ether's sister's room.
   
8. Karaoke is mandatory. People unwilling to sing a reasonable amount of karaoke need not attend. For help, see Rule #6.
   
9. This means you, Patrick.
   
10. Reckoner is required to do a duet to Katy Perry's "I Kissed A Girl" with dramonic.

My family will be on vacations for a few different weeks over the summer. I don't know the exact weeks, but they do this every year and I traditionally stay home and fend for myself. I have no plans to invite you without their knowledge, but they're reasonably open-minded. Me hosting a meet is being considered as a reward for getting my fucking act together, so we'll see about that.

I'm telling you that in about 2.5 weeks, there will be a little anarchist town in the woods of PA where anyone can set up a camp. If you wanted to (and you hurry) you could set up a scummer meet camp there. I will not be there this year, but fully intend to invite scummers to the 2011 Gathering, which will probably be in Washington State.

(PS: It's entirely free. Plus there will be food, beverages, music, and shenanigans of all sorts. Alcohol must stay in the parking lot though.)
