Because "Great" sounds better than "United", right CS? Or did you take Great Britain=England,Ireland,Scotland,Wales?

Being an ignorant North American, I can never remember which emcompasses the isles properly: GB or UK.

The answer's NEITHER. Geographically I think the British isles would be alright, but I don't think there's a politically correct way. It's like asking a Canadian what part of the States they're from, or asking a Kiwi what part of Australia...
