Because when a word is abbreviated it is a totally new word and therefore basing its pronunciation off of a different word rather than the conventions of "how all fucking words are pronounced" is really fucking dumb,
In the english language, a word spelled "VIG" is pronounced with a hard G. End of story.
daughter notices the bathtub is clogged and asks where is the 1/2 bottle of drano.
I say I used it on the bathtub already I need to get more.
she says the tub has to be completely drained before it can work.
I say no it doesn't.
she says yes it does, that is what the directions say on back.
I say there is a second set of directions that tells you what to do with standing water.
we give each other *the look*
we race to our computers, I look up "drano and standing water" and I think she looked up drano directions.
neither of us say a word afterwards.
true story
Also, you are totally using draino correctly but I would hazard to guess that doesn't solve your problem. My guess is you should probably pull the hair out of the drain when you start to notice the shower draining slower, instead of waiting till it plugs up. Just my 2 cents. (this carries many of the dangers of assuming things, i know).
T'was the night before Christmas and all through my house every creature is stirirring and getting on my nerves! There are too many people, too many sounds and smells and irritations going on in my house right now. I'm over here pretending like I don't want them to all leave and come back in the morning. It's 11 pm on Christmas Eve. I'm pretty sure they're all staying. God bless us every one.
I like arguing, and don't get mad except in extreme cases. So when someone picks an argument with me, I usually oblige them and will pick whatever opinion is contrary to theirs to see how it pans out so I can better judge which side I truly believe.
People that know me know it's what I'm doing but many others think I am just being a dick. Even those that know sometimes forget because they are passionate about the issue and forget that just because I am arguing the point doesn't mean I believe in what I'm saying.
Causes some problems.
Then there's all the arguments that happen because people have feelings and can't compartmentalise logic from emotion. Which I forget is something that people do which is when I start getting annoyed. I just have nothing by which to ground an understanding of being blinded by emotion. They get frustrated that I'm not addressing their feelings and I get frustrated that they can't let go of their feelings on the matter.
