Meh. I'm cool with parents being given the option for their kids to opt out of evolution stuff for religious reasons. I wouldn't go as far as to say don't teach it though.

I don't think idiotic parents should be allowed to neglect their childrens' educations because of their own idiocy.

Being religious isn't "idiotic" and is protected by law.
And there's a huge difference between "I believe this, this is my religion" and "I believe this and therefore I am going to impose my beliefs upon my child objectively against their own betterment"

I don't want to be to judgmental here but they are denying there children correct education which is a form of abuse. They may have the best intentions in heart but evolution is a proven fact. That's like trying to teach your child the world is flat even through we have pictures of a kinda round (but bumpy) earth.
