Clinton's fundraising is down 41% on the quarter going into the first primaries/caucuses. That's pretty telling.

In a straight Clinton v. Rubio general election match-up in Texas, Clinton wins by 7 points according to a new poll. If you can't get Texas as a republican, you're pretty fucked.

So sad but true.

I'd hate to admit it, but Jeb is probably the best of all possible Bushes. It's a shame we had to go through two of them before him.

A lot of Jeb's positions are terrible. He honestly believes rhat racist crap about "blacks wanting free things".

If we had to elect a bush (and we really really don't) then I'd rather just elect his father for a second term right now then elect Jeb.

His voting record on gun control is spotty at best and he would definitely open himself to some pretty powerful attacks from Hillary if he tried to get in on the spotlight.

by 'spotty' you mean 'he identifies more strongly with gun culture than most liberals'

which, yes, is probably why he's not angling on the spotlight there.

It makes him more likely to draw libertarian votes in the general, though, if he gets there.

Yeah, I meant spotty as in "sometimes he votes for gun control and sometimes against, according to his personal philosophy" and not "He is inconsistent".

r u sure you don't mean spotty as in "his gun record is the smoking gun that will finally reduce his presidential campaign to an historical footnote of the story of america's decline as an global empire"

America will never suffer a decline in relation to other nations, Psyche. If we're going down, we're taking everybody with us.
One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.

I typed up essentially that post and then Sudo had already made it for me.

Then Fox’s Brian Kilmeade asked if, like Obama, [Ben] Carson would would still travel to visit victims’ families despite some residents protests of grandstanding, to which Carson replied all too casually:

"Probably not. I mean, I would probably have so many things on my agenda that I would go to the next one."

How did Carson's popularity ever increase after the first debate? He was terrible there.... I thought for sure he'd just end up dropping out.

it's important to remember that these are the same people who wink at each other while they refer to young black men as "thugs"

Plus, the fact that this obviously smart, well-educated, black surgeon is saying out loud all the stupid and hateful things they believe (denying climate change, denying evolution, all muslims are evil, obamacare is the worst thing since slavery, poor black people just don't work hard enough, ect) allows them to feel better about themselves for beliving those things.

I don't think they feel bad about themselves for thinking those things in the first place though.
