End of Year Joys\Despairs

Post Post #0 (ISO) » Sat Dec 12, 2015 7:44 pm

SO there's a reward post next week in terms of winter break but to get there:
- A Statistics Exam for a class where I learned nothing and did not attend on a high basis and also only did well on a project in which I made up numbers so idk this is going to be interesting plus eff dumb formulas
- Idk the rest aren't so bad but its just getting motivated to study\write papers and not wallow
- At least if it weren't for global warming I could WISH for some sort of snowapocalypse but its 60 degrees in December so idk what "exams are cancelled" scenarios to even dream up

Anyway, what are your joys and despairs right about now as the year ends?

The temperature is dropping. At this rate we're doomed in a year.

Also my dad says that global warning isn't as serious as everyone says, that the weather changes are just the seasons moving down because something calendars and stuff. So idk, its possible that global warming is exaggerated.

From what I've heard, it's pretty serious.
All the politicians going to Paris to talk about it in their private jets makes me realize this. I wonder if they're immune to this carbon tax though.
Also, everyone in my university was given a paper book called, "The No Impact Man" where the book argues how it's possible to live with no negative impact on the environment so we can protect nature like trees. There was even a line in it saying how every kleenex we throw out could result in a polar bear choking on it and dying. The author, Colin Beavan, made a visit in his own private jet to give a speech on it. Unfortunately I missed it so I probably don't even fully realize how important an issue this is yet.

Idk what that means ^ but hope things get better.

Fluminator, lol is that sarcasm :P The only sad thing related to global warming was California's water shortage which I don't really understand but it seems a little scary.

Things to be joyous about:
- Nothing seriously bad happened to me or my family (fingers crossed) and so far (fingers crossed) no natural disasters either
- Highlights that I thought might be weird turned out pretty good, not sure if to maintain them or do something new
- Under the Never Sky was a good book
- Milano cookies
- I'm prolly going to pass everything
- I'm still friends with this person and its awkward but not like "super nasty" awkward. More like, "Oh this is a little awkward but we're both going to be cool, k."
- I was going to say my family stayed sane for the past 6 months but that's not true due to stuff this week so anyway that was kind of sad and also I accept that I can't change things and *****
- Walking Dead had an epic season
- X-Men Apocalypse trailer looks cool
- Florals are in and I hope they stay in forever

Year wasn't so bad though. Crossing my fingers I pass this semester.

It is normal for the
temperature
to drop in the
winter

Last final in 2 hours!
After this, I'm hoping I never ever ever ever have to take 6 classes again.

Needless to say, my year long reflection is dominated by one thing. I beat cancer (thanks to my amazeballs family and team of doctors).
