That is remarkably dumb. By going to court like this, that stupid cop is going to put a ton of evidence into the hands of the prosecutor trying him for murder. He just dramatically increased his own odds of going to prison.

TL;DR off-duty cops working as bouncers at a private club that does not have security cameras were physically assaulted by an NFL player and his bodyguards. Wouldn't be surprised if they baited him into it.
