i felt overall weird about this one, only two strong entries and neither enough to make me want to check out the artist more, but there was a good number of at least decent songs too.

Ukraine - It's ok; just an ordinary song, but it doesn't sound bad.
Portugal - *listens apprehensively*... I'm really not a fan of the singing. This kind of lyrical singing contrasting with electronic or rock music has never appealed to me.
Central African Republic - I like it.
Wales - It's ok. Sounds very "now", with all those trendy sounds.
Spain - Idk. It's ok.
St Kitts and Nevis - ...It's ok.
Netherlands - Ah, it's that Corrs song. I'm more familiar with the unplugged version, but the original is pretty nice too.
Cote d'Ivoire - Turned out to be better than I expected.
Suriname - It's nice enough.
Germany - I'm liking this. Cucumbers do coexist.
Iceland - Hmm...
USA - I'm laughing so hard! Very mixed feelings about this.
St. Lucia - Eh, too energetic.
China - I like it.
Nauru - Hmmkay. The ending gave me a headache.
Fiji - This is really nice.
Botswana - I'm compelled to give this a point just for the photo alone. But I'm actually liking it. Pretty good.
Finland - IDK how to rank this.

USA - The Ongoing Concept - Cover Girl: Wow, was not expecting this at all. Pleasantly surprised. This is pretty good! Not often you hear banjo in hardcore, but it works, especially with the kinda southern rocky-sounding chorus. Looking back on the other songs I find that this is the first song I've actually enjoyed and not just liked. Ending is pretty awesome too. 8/10. Still really, really like this one. Lyrics might end up being a detractor in the long run, but...oh well. 8/10.

China - Hedgehog - Waiting for the Last Bus: Music is pretty great on first listen, I just appreciate that it takes its time and creates such an atmosphere. Rhythm just fits. On a side note, is the singer really a little girl? Because wow. 8/10. Still really liked this. 8/10.

Chad - Twista - Kill Us All: Something magic in that old school rap where you just let a solid beat keep it together while the rapper just rapid-fires. This makes me want to check out more Twista. High 7/10. THOUGHT I WAS GONE HUH. Still a high 7/10.

Tibet - M83 - Do It, Try It: Well if the dog tells me to...anyway, this is kinda cool. It tries to be silly but is musically competent. High 7/10. Yeah this is pretty cool. Can't give it an 8, but it's def appropriate at a high 7/10.

Iceland - Cursive - Art is Hard: I know this one! Can't say I've listened to the album enough to know it really well but this was always my second favorite on Ugly Organ after Butcher the Song. And overall I do prefer Happy Hollow. BUT this is definitely a good song and I appreciate Parama entering it. Gonna give it a high 7/10. Yuuuup. 7/10.

Suriname - The Dears - Whites Only Party: Liking this piano player. Yeah I kinda like this a lot actually. Just feels fairly raw and well-done. 7/10. Still good, high 7/10.

Fiji - Braids - Warm Like Summer: Interesting track, sounds like modulated voices? Actually reminds me of CHVRCHES. This is quite pleasant, and I like how the drums create a sort of weird franticness woven through otherwise calm moments. High 7/10. Yeah, same. High 7/10.

Netherlands - The Corrs - Toss the Feathers: Gaelic folk with a vaguely prog-y element? I can dig it. Pretty cool part around 1:45 I liked a lot. All righty then. 7/10. You know what I realized about this? It's not that far off from some of DMB's stuff. Which is a-ok in my book. 7/10.

Greece - Dessa - Fighting Fish: She is a good rapper and this is a good track that kinda maybe sorta was overproduced. Still quite enjoyable though. High 7/10, below Twista. I kinda don't like this chorus? The track is cool, though, and I still think she's a good rapper. Lowering it to a middle 7/10.

Burkina Faso - Georgia - Move Systems: Whoah, weird. Seems like a modern version of like...pet shop boys or something. I'll give it points for creativity, but I'm just not really getting into it. So, 6/10. I did like it more the second time around, but all I'm willing to give it is a low 7/10.
