I still haven't found work (perhaps evident from my 4am update), so I'm moving towards a tentative no. I've already had to cancel on a bridge competition that I'd wanted to play in, and that had a similar cost but takes place about a month sooner. And I've been applying to every job that I am physically capable of doing for about a month now and that's gone absolutely nowhere.
EDIT: So I guess it's still a maybe, but I'm managing expectations.
