Another couple options for a 10-team league that probably seem weird (but I’ve seen them happen before!) would be:
1) Normal divisional schedule for 13 weeks, then four make the playoffs and two rounds of two-week playoff matchups (I know ESPN has this capability but not sure on Yahoo).
2) Same system as usual (6 making the playoffs) but extend the regular season by a week by having teams play the opposite division twice each instead of their own twice each.
Both of these skip Week 18 only.
For a 12-teamer I’m indifferent to the first two options you thought up. We’re so close to being able to say two divisions of six into a two-round playoff, but that’d force us to play Week 18 which is a hard pass.
EDIT: grammar

Could also do it for just the final in the 12-teamer, potentially (though it’s probably less likely that this is doable than doing it for the full playoffs)

Who did/didn’t play it, what were people’s scores, etc? If the majority of people didn’t play the game then please just random it, don’t give the few that did any special treatment.

Hey I made two people die of dysentery and now their sacrifices are in vain :/
But yeah in all honestly just randomize it and stick the random.org receipt in here as an image or something, idk. I think it would've been fun, but it took me way longer than I expected and got pretty annoying when I was like "ugh this is too long", looked at the map, and was less than halfway to Oregon.

Divisions don’t look final yet, it’s currently divisions of 5/4/3. We’ll see how things get shifted. (Not sure if what’s currently listed is arbitrary or what’s up with it…don’t remember how we’ve been choosing them in the past.)

Yeah we do need answers for the poll, we’ve been hounding you about it for weeks. You say there’s a way to get back in to see results, but there’s not unless you either fill out the survey again or saved the completion URL, which I doubt anyone has done.

Can we pick a specific date and time (ideally very soon because it impacts draft strategy) at which these will be finalized, and can you show us exact numbers for everything? Because PJ showed me the IR slot question and apparently not just did six IR slots not win, not a single person asked for that number.

I'm fine with whatever personally. I'd be happy to back full PPR if there's interest. (My other league effectively plays as something between 1.2PPR and 2PPR so as long as we don't go that far I'm not gonna complain.)

Guessing so because adding a bench slot is also listed in that point (though apparently it got considerably closer between you doing the survey and Nero listing results).

I mean, I mocked yesterday and ended up with multiple WRs and even a second TE that I’d rather start in the flex spot than my third best RB. But yeah, I think making RB and WR depth roughly equal is good and I’m curious to see how it shakes out (because even though it’s the default literally everywhere, I have very little experience with it).
Everything you changed for L1 looks right except kicker points, needs to be 10 yards per point not 1 yard per point.

In post 170, PokerFace wrote:If 17 people voted, how is 8 (47.1%) a majority to replace wide receiver with a flex?
I would prefer more wide receivers than running backs myself. At least I am drafting top 4 so I can get one of cmc, cook, kamara, henry no matter what. I will not be trading my spot in this league this year.
The kicker thing is interesting. I did not vote for it but I okay with trying it
There were three options for that question so I’m guessing it got a plurality
EDIT: Yeah - 8 people said full flex, 3 said change it to WR/TE, 4 said keep it as-is

If not, then I do not like the way this looks at all. Got a bad feeling there could be a yahoo software bug here. Should be noted that my profession in real life is in Software QA. Also known as getting paid to find software bugs. And Yahoo is not paying me. So I really not like this if its a bug
It's not a software issue, Nero just hasn't fixed the schedule yet. Same thing happened last year, which is a bit unfortunate because it fucks up the initial projections and draft grades.

The divisions have been fine the whole time but the schedules aren't (they showed up fine on mobile the whole time, desktop just defaults to showing last year's stuff)

Any update on getting the schedule sorted out? Again I’m more than happy to take co-commish for a couple days so that I can do it and then you can take it off me.

Looks like my RB room…I have Swift, but losing Mostert/Edwards and having Saquon not at 100% yet hurts. Need about 29 out of Swift to win this week and avoid an 0-2 start.

I mean, Drew Lock has had very few good moments in his career, and Teddy Bridgewater played the injury-riddled Panthers into several very close games against very good teams last year. I don’t think it’s hard to argue that Bridgewater is significantly better than Lock…it definitely doesn’t seem like a masterplay.

It’s tough because it’s really not the case of one chronic nonperformer…everyone is just having a lot of mediocre-to-okay weeks and you usually need a player to actually get to the next level if you want to win.
Hopefully those performances start happening soon, because I’ve really only gotten the ones out of Thielen/Hill from Week 1 (and I blew that on awful RB play).
Would love to turn it all the way around and make playoffs but I think the better hope is clawing back to at least avoid relegation.

Yeah no draft pick trades.
I don’t mind the trade as it stands but it might cause issues next year if both of you make L1, since you might need to manually override the pick order there. It’s just dumb because you two have no idea which 16th is better (and won’t until after the pick order is set in August).
Spoiler: Current Every-Team-Every-Week Standings in L1 (Actual standings in parentheses)
Mongolian Khans 63-36 (1st)
Circle the Wagons 57-42 (6th)
Yiley's Yodelers 52-46-1 (10th)
Tally Whackers 52-47 (2nd)
Tatum Bellhops 51-48 (12th)
Men Without Helmets 51-48 (8th)
4th and Inches 50-49 (7th)
Poker's Aces 49-49-1 (11th)
Rolling Thunder 48-51 (4th)
Get Reckt 42-57 (3rd)
Moonsault Mahommes II 39-60 (5th)
Qtag 39-60 (9th)
DIVISION OF DEATH 171-225
VOODOO 214-185-1
MITH'S ENVY 208-187-1
Gotta say, some of these disparities are crazy...
Interesting, but I'm not really sure how to interpret it properly. Is this craziness due to the flex position or is any head-to-head league inherently swingy?
It's pretty normal for things to be like this. It lines up with total points scored pretty well - despite being in 10th in the standings, Yiley is third in points scored.

I think we normally use it to determine rankings 5-8 in L2/L3 to determine the order of alternates for promotion, but it never really determines relegation because it would only run a bracket for the teams ranked 5th through 8th. But we normally use it and I don’t think anyone has discussed turning it off, so we should still use it out of fairness.

Consolation usually matters for purposes of promotion. In the past consolation has not determined relegation by default because when teams 1-4 make the playoffs, teams 5-8 are into the consolation bracket and nothing happens to 9-12.
