Oh! This is the movie that AVGN mentioned in one or two of his episodes, I think. His favorite film of all time. Agh, I don't remember the title, but I think this is it.

No joke, I tried to find the damn video where he mentioned it (I want to say it was like Bugs Bunny or something like that), but I gave up and started watching The Terminator episode instead (best episode, no doubt in my mind).

In any case, I think Google is kind of cheating, but I am glad to know I could pick up such an obscure reference from a film I have never seen.

Maybe if someone who hadn't used their time guess for this film would guess a time we'd have more information to go on...

Correct! Worst Spielberg movie ever.
Re-reading I'd like to challenge this claim by submitting A.I. as the worst Speilberg movie ever.
Denied.

(A.I. wasn't great, but War of the Worlds was absolutely horrible.)

Some help for others:

Based on the first picture, it should be 2002 or later (so think 2003 release forward). It has some white people as the main stars. It takes place at least part in a large city, presumably in the USA.

That should help narrow it down to a few thousand. You can thank me later.

War Games was '87 or '88. I'm certain it was mid to late 80's. That's an IE screen as has been pointed out. I will gladly take your money.

I mean, unless we're betting whether or not the film is exactly 12 years older than War Games, in which case I don't take that bet because I'm not that confident. But if you're asking for takers on your guess that the film pictured is War Games, I'm totally game.

Well, I just looked up War Games, and it was actually '83, so I'm glad I didn't take that bet!

That screen is a pretty well known "mistake" in the movie as it is implied that that was a search in the internet when the URL shows that it's just locally saved URLs.
This reminds me of one of my favorite YouTube videos of all time which you probably won't get unless you are an American that watched too much television for your own good.

That strange, strange background surely eliminates quite a few films. This is definitely sci-fi or at least has to do with technologies older than early-to-mid 80's.

Going to

I've seen it at least once when I was, like, 5 or 6. Funny fact about Tim Burton's Batman is that my folks tell me it's the first film they took me to and that I cried so much that they had to leave, lol.

I think you're about 30 years ahead of time with that guess, Fens. Looks to be late 60's or early 70's. DN is right. None of those actors ring any bells at all to me.

I see films I like more than once most definitely. That third screen is a dead giveaway as that's clearly the chip that goes in Arnold's head. The other two are way too obscure to me. I still don't see the first one, although I think the second one may be the patch of grass in front of the playground during Sarah Connor's nightmare sequence.

Anyway, I guess some films just have frames that are embedded into our heads...

Based on the last shot may be the dancers before the show starts. The shots look very 80's. My initial guess was Total Recall (free guess if anyone wants but I don't think it's right) because of the red shot.

Like Rhinox points out Running Man is already perfect.

+1 for the Total Recall comment. That was abysmal. I literally don't know how they screwed it up as bad as they did. I even liked the basic premise of how they showed the space elevator and all that... but the story-telling was so completely disjointed and confusing. Also, that's a movie I would point anyone to that wants to see an example of horrible cinematography. One of most poorly shot films I've ever seen. I hope the DP earned a Raspberry for that one.

Total Recall - Don't remake.
Judge Dredd - Yes, remake it.
Robocop - No.
Punisher - Sure.
Red Dawn - er... uh, well. um. No, it's just a bad premise to begin with.

If you eliminate all the game show cheese (c'mon, an opera guy? Really?) Running Man has potential to be gritty and awesome.

I loved (the original) Red Dawn! The remake was a disaster though. I agree with your sentiment nonetheless. A darker, grittier Running Man would be a-okay in my book. More styled like Blade Runner or something.

Just for the record, I do not hate all remakes. The Ladykillers, The Departed, Invasion of the Body Snatchers... loved all of these. I'm sure there are plenty more.

99% sure this is incorrect, but
Guess: To Live and Die in L.A.

That second to the last one totally looks like the title sequence... and now I must go listen to Wang Chung.

Thank you for making me realize that was josh brolin <3

Why does he look so old? I thought he played Bush 43.

I saw this one a couple years back, but none of these pictures ring any bells with that film at all. It doesn't look Oliver Stone-ish... let me google it.

Oh, it may be the original Die Hard... I don't think he's done that yet. But I've probably seen that movie over a dozen times and that screenshot doesn't ring any bells.

Good :] Let me know the next time you sign up for a Micro or Mini because I'm about ready for a new game.
