Nothing too dangerous. The fountain seems I treat thirst, but at the cost of some small damage.

I think heading there without chess pieces is a waste of time. I'm assuming we have to find chess pieces to do some event there.

how about another room?

Weren't we the only two people in the Prophet's Chamber?

I think that the coins should work just fine. There is something very odd about the water in the fountain of the Prophet's Chamber. My hunch, given the results I've gotten, is that the water is eager to infuse itself into things (maybe not people?), so I would be curious as to what might happen.

Yes, sorry, to clear things up I cancelled my move to the Laundry Room to stay in the Prophet's chamber, and subsequently search some of the holes in the wall during the day. I wanted to stay in the room so I could observe if we wanted to do the experiment.

It's not clear how deep the pool is, so I would caution against just dropping the coins in. On the other hand, maybe there's something to the whole coin/fountain interaction. Good thinking!

My last two actions I both drank and stepped into the fountain, both of which seem to be much more effective on thirst than normal water, but at the cost of some damage.

In other news, I'm glad that it seems like we're working together.

Alright, in that case I'll spend my action checking out the new door locks :)

I think if you would be up for potentially losing the coins, that would be great!

So from the description, I got the sensation of the water trying to meld with me (without success) but would presumably work with other things. Is that similar to what you found?

Alright friends, let me remind you that for those who are facing critical thirst, the water from the Prophet's Chamber fountain seems to be more effective than normal water, at the cost of some small damage.

That being said, we need to get ourselves together. The obvious line of actions forward is to examine the new clues on the door locks. Any takers?

I will also share that last night I heard some sounds in the ceiling of the Prophet's Chamber, so perhaps whatever is moving around in the Crypts is not confined there.

I'm not quite sure what you're talking about Blackberry. If you could explain, I would be most appreciative :)

If there is another cost to drinking the fountain water (as there most probably is) I don't have a clue what it is. What I
do
know is that, without an alternative, we're all going to be facing a water crisis in a few turns.

Recently we heard that there were some noises coming from the Crypt. If there is a willing party, I would be up for leading the expedition. I can provide a degree of protection for those willing to minimize the risks that might come with exploring.

Any takers?

Also, the Diary Room features a video camera. It would stand to reason that there is some sort of computer interface that would manage it...

Friends, I'm working now on compiling a document that summarizes everything we (presumably) know about the mansion.

My question is, would it be fine to just copy/paste the contents plain-text, or is there an easy one-off document sharing thing that we could use?

In post 361, KingdomAces wrote:I did not get any mission of the sort, and when I threw the coins in nothing spectacular happened at all. I was told that "something" was off about the water and that I took one damage, but that's all I got.

Also forgot to mention: I have no clue what to do from here now. If Aronis can't be helped, is there anywhere that needs to be more thoroughly checked that doesn't require having a light or a weapon of some sort? I think I might go to the music room, waste one turn, and then attempt to destroy the source of the music so it can actually be thoroughly explored. Has everywhere else been searched?

EDIT: Yeah that seems like a decent idea for the time being. Just moving there now so I don't forget to do an action this phase. If someone has a better idea let me know.

So I found earplugs, which means that I'll be checking out the music room next.

Earplugs worked in the music room, so I was able to get through without being accosted by the music.

OK EVERYBODY LISTEN UP:

If you're over or near 10 Thirst, go to the Fountain. You'll take 1 damage. It's better than whatever else you're going to endure if you're going to die anyways.

I have the following useful items if anyone needs them (at this point, I'm willing to risk giving them to scum instead of just hordeing them the entire game):
ROCK
RED PAINT (?!?)
BRONZE KEY (Caycedo)

Come to the fountain, we'll drink, be merry, and hopefully become awesome.

If you have any items that are not of use, I URGE you to post in thread so we can get things together and actually start winning this thing, because with this massive FAMINE (of water) spreading throughout us, I highly doubt we're going to last long enough to do anything unless we just take risks and start playing.

Also, if you're heavily damaged, I propose one person drink the Light Green Liquid if you got one. Several peoplel got one I believe when we went to the lab, since it sounds like a generic item, I would suspect that it *may* have healing powers. But one of us should try it and announce it publicly so we can all know if it can help the town).

At this point it looks like we're flailing and if we want a chance to win we really need to just come together and actually survive.

Mist - unless it's too late, do not go to the Labyrinth unless you're heavily prepared as suggested...

Blackberry, we can meet up in the prophet's chamber for the key?
