Oh, I've never played chicago bridge, but I do know rubber bridge. Is there a difference I need to incorporate into my playing/bidding style (eg. be more cautious or be more reckless)?

Private, bridge is pretty complicated and I'm not sure if this is the right place to try and learn the game...you'd be better off finding some free internet courses I think.

So I'll make 4 tricks in diamonds regardless of what PA does. I have the remaining two trumps so that nets me 2 tricks in spades. I'll lose a trick in clubs.

Together with the tricks made, I'll have 9 tricks for 3♠C.

Yeah, I have never seen the multi opening do its work as good as it did here. It was definitely four spades for the opponents.

Partner, there was no way to avoid one down. There was a safer play to secure one down (I think?, stripping yourself of all but clubs and hearts and give a trick to opps?), but you got there. No need for excuses, be proud!

And thur, such an overview is really nifty.
