Gangs and Lovers

A short game for 11 players. It starts out with everyone getting one of the following roles.

Red Gang-

Red Leader - Wins if Blue Leader dies.
Red Member - Wins if Blue Leader dies.
Red Member - Wins if Blue Leader dies.
Red Member - Wins if Blue Leader dies.

Red Lover - Wins if they "shoot" the Blue Lover.

Blue Gang-

Blue Leader - Wins if Red Leader dies.
Blue Member - Wins if Red Leader dies.
Blue Member - Wins if Red Leader dies.
Blue Member - Wins if Red Leader dies.

Blue Lover - Wins if they "shoot" the Red Lover.

Third Party

Grey Suicidal Sam - Wins if he gets shot. If he does get shot, the player who shot him dies as well. Can't shoot.

Once everyone recieves a role, a deadline is set for 24 hours and a coin is flipped to determine which team shoots first. Players are also told who is on their team, but not what roles. Nobody can shoot for those 24 hours, but people may discuss.

Once this time is up, any player on the chosen team can shoot someone via

Shoot: Player

. I will then enter the thread and flip that player. If the shot does not end the game, the other team then gets to shoot. This continues until someone wins. If a Player shot for his team last time his team had a shot, he can not shoot the next time his team has a shot unless he is the last one left. This does not mean every player only has one shot, only that the same player can't shoot consecutively.

If someone who isn’t a lover shoots one of the lovers, the other lover commits suicide. If a lover shoots a lover, they win and the game ends. If a leader is shot, the game ends.

Mod Stuff

This was designed for face to face play, hence no private talk and such.

My biggest gripe is that in face to face, what if two people shoot at once?

I have some ideas, but if you have some please feel free to shoot them around.

Klick you were set dude, RedPanda set it up so that the blue team knew who you were and red team didn't, all you had to do was pretend to be blue lol

I'll run another, I do want to see if anyone has any balance suggestions for the shooting stage. Because I think atm it's all dependent on who shoots first which is kind of eh.

Was thinking of a system where any player on the team can shoot, but every player also can veto a shot each round. Something like that. I'd have to work out the numbers. Idk. Or is it fine as is?

See the only problem with that though is that I wanted this game to work with 6 players. Red Leader, Goon, Lover vs. Blue Leader, Goon, Lover. Maybe a Lover dying if they shoot incorrectly is a better fix?

Hold on, let's revamp the system.

Let's change the lovers a lot.

A. They now win if both are dead.
B. They know each others identity.
C. They can't shoot each other.

I think this will work better with the main game at hand.
