Lingo is played in three rounds. In each round, players compete to guess a 5-letter word and score a Lingo. In Round 1, 3 words will be played, scoring $100 for each word. In Round 2, 4 words will be played, scoring $200 for each word. In Round 3, 3 words will be played, scoring $500 for each word. Scoring a Lingo will earn you the same amount a correct word will earn for that round.
The player who gets each word will draw two balls from a rack of 20. These balls include 16 numbered balls, 3 Stopper Balls, and 1 Prize Ball. Drawing a number ball will mark that number on your card and can potentially score a Lingo. Stopper Balls will immediately pass control to the other player. The Prize Ball is worth $700 and a year's subscription to the Mish Mash Network, worth approximately $0.32!
Attempting to use a misspelled or non-English word will pass control to the other player. If you are unable to guess the word within 5 guesses, you will lose control.
