I think I'll pick Laura Roslin. I don't usually get to play as one of the top political leaders.

Yeah, we definitely want to balance the the groups out as much as possible. It's also good to make sure we have someone who can get engineering cards, preferably more than one. And ideally we'd have at least two pilots in case one flips cylon and we're stuck with no one out shooting the bad guys. (There are other ways to deal with enemy ships so it's not necessary, but pilots are more effective) But definitely see if we're missing one of the first three groups and go with whatever sounds the coolest.

Yeah but the post on the other game thread says 36 hour or 24 deadlines depending on somethings. It seemed to me like the 9 hour thing was just the one thing to get the ball rolling. Although I agree with you it seemed a bit short but he has given no indication that that is how the game will be played, so I still don't get where you're coming from. Unfortunately, your quotes did not clear things up.

They first three picks have to balance out in group so you would have to be a military leader or Galen, forcing the last pick to be military.

If it helps, I'm willing to rescind my pick, and move myself to go last and take whatever is left so that Magua can be Boomer if he wants. At that point pretty much no one would be able to be Lee, but the next pick could choose pretty much whoever they wanted (except Lee) and we go from there if that makes sense. I want to throw this out here as an option, especially if it gets things going.

I own this game and have played as all the characters at least once so I don't really care who I play as that much and would be willing to play as anybody.

Do people think we can make the skill check? Because that +1 Jump Prep is looking mighty tasty. I can't put anything in because I don't get those colors.

I don't have to use the location every turn, as I can play a quorum card or draw a quorum card as an action as per the president card without discarding cards. Taking the presidency away from me limits my potential actions and makes it more likely that I'm going to have to discard cards if I have nothing else to do on my turn.

I'm leaning towards the second choice. How do you feel about discarding cards BC? The first page suggests you have 10 skill cards but I'm not sure if that's completely accurate, with your use of strategic planning. It could be risky depending on what the next crisis is, but yeah it might have a jump prep so if you don't have a probably with discarding a skill card we may want to choose the second option and hope for a jump prep. It would put us at 1 away, and I could XO someone like Adama to move to FTL and jump us. IF the next crisis has a jump prep. I'm willing to give it a shot if anyone else is.
