When do you typically hold the draft?

That should be fine as long as it doesn't interfere with my work league but they usually ask for availability. We have 2 leagues and one usually drafts on Saturday and the other on Sunday.

So I am going to be out of town the weekend of August 21 and 22. If that is the draft weekend then I will need to /out. Still trying to figure out when my work draft is. He was gathering times today so hopefully I will know soon.

My understanding is that it was going to be 4-5 games but he had a meeting with Rice and Rice took responsibility so he only gave him 2

We're at 12; closing signups at this point so we can get set up and decide on a draft time. I'll get invites sent out this weekend.

I prefer to avoid the third weekend of August, but it's not a dealbreaker. Otherwise I am pretty flexible.

The first of September as in that Monday? That would be ideal since it wouldn't compete with my work draft. I sent my commissioner an email today asking him to settle on a time but as long as it isn't between Aug 21-24 I can get my husband to draft for me if I have to.

It's looking like my work draft is going to be on the 30th (possibly the 31st but most likely the 30th).

It's official for my work draft(Saturday, August 30 at 2pm central). So I can do the 31 if need be.

Does the evening of the 30th work, or are you out all day?

It usually goes about 4+,hours cause we eat dinner/discuss league stuff/talk afterwards and we inevitably start 30 minutes or more late. It would have to be 7-8pm or later for me to feel comfortable being back in time.

I could probably do the 17th but it's not desirable (my husband will be at a conference which means I will have the kids...one being a 6 month old). The 16th is the same situation but add that my daughter will have a soccer game and I don't know the time yet. #parenting #soccermom

Like I mentioned earlier though, the 21-24 is a no go as I won't be near a computer. If I am the hold up then I will drop out. Just let me know.

Well, I would get my husband but the two weekends he isn't available either. The only other person I would want to do it is my brother and his schedule is even more hectic than mine. I don't want to drop out, trust me! I want to play.

With 8 lists, the 17th starting between 1 and 3:30 is our best bet; our only conflict at the moment is Juls' kids trying to bid $20 on kickers.

My normal league drafts 15 slots with a similar distribution. We do 1 RB, 2WR, 2 flex though and TE can't flex. It's also a 12 person league.

Yeah me either! And I have my 2 kids and 3 dogs right now (ALONE!) and none of them want to let me study!

I'm scared! My son is asleep now which means I AM SCREWED!!!! He will be awake during the draft. I'm going to try to wake him up in about 20 minutes and play with him A LOT to tire him out.

I knew tier 1 RBs were going to go high so I did plan on getting middle tier RBs. I wanted the two I got even penciled them in predraft. What I didn't notice is that they had the same bye week! I don't feel great about my draft. I feel that after Brandon Marshall my WRs are not as good as I wanted. I think the hardest thing that I will have to get used to is such a small bench. I am used to benches being 6-7 deep so having such little working room will be tough for me.

Which bell did you get? I've heard not-so-great things about Leveon (for the price) but good for Joique.

For the most part, I'm actually sorta happy. I think my group of WRs are p good. I feel like my only mistake was being shy and not bidding more to get a better RB but I think I can trade away Cutler to get one.

Really? Do you know something I don't know about Cutler? Cause I have never thought "man I wish my team had more Cutler"

OK, just finished my work draft. Ours is a little different. Starting roster is 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, 2 Flex (WR/RB), 1 TE, 1 K, 1 Def. Our tight ends are much more valuable because we get 2 pts per reception. Also, we get points for return yardage (1 per 10). We have a 15 man roster but we only draft 13. The other 2 are first-come-first-serve off waivers. This is my team (minus the two I will pick up tomorrow off waivers).

I'd love opinions. I like my RBs because I only have to play one but I have the potential to play at least 2. I also like my WRs (especially the first 3). TE is a risk but I feel like I have a decent backup. QB SUCKS and I am already trying to figure out trades. I may have a Russell Wilson for Pierre Thomas. I didn't really want Thomas but I got caught bidding him up. :/

Yeah that was a steal but our prices are a little lower simply because we only need one RB. The reason I got stuck with Roethlisburger is because people were paying 15-20 for their BACKUP QBs. The only QBs left are Tannehill, Alex Smith, EJ Manuel, Jake Locker, Geno Smith, Matt Schaub, Matt Cassel, and Chad Henne. I may pick up Tannehill just to have another option. Manziel might be an option later if I am desperate but I am an Alabama fan so it makes my skin crawl to think about picking up that Ass-hat.

you haven't been watching the news They may reduce his suspension or eliminate it all together. I have him in 2 leagues. I bid $5 in this one but Bert got me. I was going to bid $17 but I wanted to be 100% sure to spend that much....probably should have.

I agree. This bench is the smallest I have ever played with. Especially without an IR
