The issue is that absolute majority has two different definitions.

Either 50% +1 of VOTERS.

or

50% +1 of POTENTIAL voters.

Given that this game is literally such that anyone can join in, I don't exactly see how the later can be attested.

So you can only count people who vote towards it.

Or, if you ARE counting non voters as voting for status quo, you have to be WAY more clear.

If you have been UXYS-active in the past week, and you do not vote in the update, you will automatically vote for the in game.
If you vote in the update, but not for the Write-In, you will be presumed to have abstained.
Like Sudden Death Ballots, you may spend one Credit to receive one additional vote, and may do so as much as you like.

there are no more eligible vote targets currently this round. I've taken the only available vote.

In order to activate any kind of special function (SD, Break Down, FF) you have to have placed a vote during the round.

And since none of you can actively place a vote, I'm the only person who can take actions.

Which means, if I want, I can BD5 KotoR as time runs out, allowing it to live another round, or choose what things get SD'd and all that Jazz.
