I'd normally say it'd be an easy choice to go for the raiders but I'd effectively be a sitting duck for every raider activation until my next turn, so I think I'm going to launch myself in a viper to port-quarter space, then use the bonus action from the hanger bay to move to aft space and use the second XO action to escort a civvie. By the time my turn rolls around the raiders will probably be closer and I'll have more cards to wipe them off the board with.

Right, sorry, that helpfully isn't mentioned in the rulebooks. Let's just
move the viper in port-quarter space to aft space
. I'm thinking we'll probably get a jump before anything particularly troublesome shows up, so let's see if we can knock out the raiders and hopefully the basestar before then.

We don't have any destroyed raptors, and it's the start of the game so being able to save up a few skill cards would be kind of nice. I'd think go for the die, +SP if someone's got it.

I wouldn't mind going for the check, there's plenty of morale crises later for CDB to have his fun with and it shouldn't exactly be difficult to pass. I'm pretty happy to not burn our resources quite yet, especially now that we're actually picking up some cards.

It's DC10 and the two who have drawn cards have a load of Leadership and Politics, and most everyone else at least has one. I'd say risk is fairly minimal at present, unless we start being flooded with skill checks.
Morale's going to drop as the game progresses anyway (we can't win them
all
), so I don't think it's going to be too much of a bother for you.
Oh, and

That would be enough to clear the sector~
Action 2: Activate CAG to get a free unmanned action to escort the civvie off now that the coast is clear, and gain an additional action
Action 3: Uhhhh not really much I can do in this corner of space and there'll almost certainly be a jump before my turn rolls around again, CDB already scouted destinations (but do we trust him?), should I just pass?

Eh...
keep it on top
.
And oh right, I forgot the raptor existed and it's nearly impossible to see on the reserves box in the image. (Also I haven't actually had a chance to play Daybreak before, so...)

I think I have to agree with our toaster here. Our situation isn't really critical enough right now to warrant using what is currently our last nuke, and Lambda spending her entire turn to draw an enginnering card doesn't exactly incline me to write a glowing review in regards to her conduct. Working on Demetrius for now is a decent plan, especially if it will allow us to fill our hands.
Oh, unrelated but
@Sudo: Given that you're clearly taking screenshots from the VASSAL module, can you label our character tokens with our names (the option comes up if you right-click a token)? Being able to easily tell who's who at a glance from the images would be nice.

21 is a lot, and that fail effect is not very fun at all with the CFB hanging around. I would
much
rather take the die roll here and clean up the potential damage later than burn all our cards which we sorely need for missions (not to mention everything else).

I would vote for something more inspiring than the Research Lab. XOs are always nice? I would consider STD so he can throw skill cards at us and hopefully run a mission on his upcoming turn.

Actually, you raise a fair point. Not impressed with StD right now.

Obvious choice would be to
get in the assault raptor launching to port-quarter, CAG to launch an unmanned viper (why don't we have MkVIIs yet) into port-bow, and escort off the civvie.

urghhhhhhhh
We so do not want to blow fuel right now, but going to sickbay right after I launched is annoying too. I feel like we have to take another morale hit on this one, and then place the inevitable civvies in port-bow and port-quarter.

We're still one down in terms of fuel, I'm not at all confident in knocking us to two down again. I'm sorry I thought that was obvious!
Also, where are you getting Mr from?

To be fair he's right on that one, I searched for "toaster price" and the cheapest one I could see was $45. Still, they're shooting at us (how original of them), so they've simply got to go. To that end, could I maaaaaaaybe get XO'd out of Sickbay at some point?

Escape the sickbay and get out in an assault raptor for realsies this time by launching into port-bow. Then CAG to push an unmanned viper out to port-bow with me, then
MAXIMUM FIREPOWER (PIL 3)
four of the raiders into itty bitty space dust.

I would kinda prefer not to use the last nuke this soon. On the other hand, food is down to 5 already and our distance is only at 2. I'm... this choice sucks. I'm a little tempted to OPG it?

boooo lost the jump prep
But at least we aren't screwed on food (sorry about that Conoy, but we are only at distance 2 so you'll have plenty of time later) or nukes now.

Five raiders out there is quite a few shots to dodge when we've just burned a lot of evasive maneuvers (not to mention the toaster over there's got the next turn), and I feel like it might just be easier to damage two by default.
There isn't enough time to train the rookies, for better or worse experience shall have to be their teacher. This is the destiny that has been chosen.
Damage the two vipers in reserve.
Also jump prep wat r u doin jump prep show up already
