Indeed. CAG title opens up some crazy interactions, especially with Starbuck's ability to get a bonus action in space anyway.

In any event, Starbuck is now hosting high-intensity press conferences on her own awesomeness on piloting.

Interrogation
Admiral Chooses:
The Admiral chooses another player send to "Sickbay." The Admiral may then look at 1 of that character's Loyalty Cards at random.
OR
The Admiral discards 2 Skill Cards, then the current player discards 3 Skill Cards (both are JDGA)
Basestars Attack

So what's up, admiral?
One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.

No. And the only player currently at Sickbay is CDB, who has no Loyalty cards anyway. And it's not a "may" effect, so if you select the top option, you must send somebody to Sickbay.

Pursuit track increases by one, so JDGA must place 3 Civilians in total.

As the President hauls the Chief Engineer off, there's some discussion about her early policy direction

Dishonest Tactics
President Chooses:
-1 Morale, and the President may move one character from the Brig to Command
OR
-1 Fuel, and the President draws 2 Quorum cards.
Activate Raiders, Jump Prep

Note that, even though Tory is the current player, she's not forced to pick the top option, because the disadvantage only applies to crisis that specifically say "Current Player Chooses"

The President mysteriously has constructed additional pylons! The raiders at Starboard-Quarter move to the Aft; Jump Prep increases to level 4 (Risk of -1 Pop).

Our friendly neighborhood cylon chooses to draw 1 Politics and then stay in Sickbay to Glimpse the Face of God via PM.

Controversial Speech - Action: Roll a die. If 6 or higher, gain 1 Morale and remove this card from the game. Otherwise, discard this card and all players, including Cylon players, draws 1 Treachery card.

Strategic Planning, anyone?

Everybody draws a treachery instead of gaining morale! LLD is in the brig, so no crisis this turn. Play moves straight to the Hot Dog.

The Scavenged parts were apparently taken from the enchilada manufactory (-1 Food)

The crew of the Pegasus are not pleased by that:

Standoff With Pegasus
Difficulty 22 Politics +
Leadership
+
Tactics
+
Piloting

Pass: The current player (STD) may move 1 character from the Brig to any other location.
Fail: -1 Population, -1 Morale, and damage 1 Viper in a space area.
Basestars Launch Raiders

Interrupts?

Alright, Investigative Committee makes contributions positive, Scientific Research makes Engineering positive, and Jury Rigged reduces difficulty by 4 and makes the check reckless. JDGA to contribute first.

Sorry, been a busy day. Contributions are:

Consolidate Power - 1
Consolidate Power - 1
At Any Cost - 5
Declare Emergency - 4
Declare Emergency - 3
Iron Will - 0

Unorthodox Plan - 3
Launch Scout - 2
Launch Scout - 2

Evasive Maneuvers - 1
Dogfight - 0

A Better Machine - 3
Bait - 0

A Better Machine shuffles 2 Treachery cards into the destiny deck.
Bait adds a Civilian ship behind Galactica.

STD may damage a viper to remove a card from the check.

Current Total is 19: Pass! STD may move LLD out of the Brig to any other location.

STD, would you like to do those things?

You can do that. Which viper do you want to damage (you can damage from Space or Reserves, and the Assault Raptor counts as a viper)

Not forgotten, just didn't have time to update since I was at work.

The last viper in reserve is damaged and A Better Machine is removed from the check, bumping up to a 22 and still a pass.

Reckless reveals: Violent Outbursts - 4; nothing happens.

That makes it JDGA's turn; since she hasn't indicated otherwise, I assume Starbuck still wants Leadership instead of Engineering on the flex draw.

The standoff is resolved, but the danger is not yet passed:

Assassination Plot
President Chooses:
The Admiral (JDGA) and the current player (JDGA) must both discard 3 Skill Cards and draw 3 Treachery Cards.
OR
The Admiral is executed
Basestars Attack, Jump Prep

Note that if you pick the top option, JDGA must discard a total of 6 cards and draw 6 Treachery.

Everyone draws a Tactics card, and the Hangar Deck is damaged when STD pushed the limits.

Crisis is:
Mysterious Guide
Current Player Chooses:
Difficulty 11 Politics +
Leadership

Pass: Increase the Jump Prep by 1
Fail: -1 Fuel and the current player (Sky_Paladin) discards all of his skill cards.
OR
-1 Morale.
Activate Raiders

Since Tory is amoral, Sky_Paladin is forced to choose the skill check. Any interrupts?

Yeah, I calculated inside VASSAL, and one of the cards got double stack, so i undercounted. It is a 9, in case somebody has a Declare Emergency to play.

I apologize, but my personal life is intruding. I'm going to be out-of-state unexpectedly until Wednesday, and won't be able to update until then.

Alright, I'm back, and updated hands are out. That's the end of LLD's turn; no crisis, since she's in the brig. However, LLD and CDB now have too many cards, and need to discard.

Yes. The loyalty deck is set up with one more card than necessary, so that the last card remains undrawn. When a person is executed, a "You are not a cylon" card is put into the deck, shuffled, and then Sky_Paladin drew one. So if one of the Cylon cards had remained undrawn, there's a possibility that Sky_Paladin has it now.

One; Lampkin's loyalty cards were discarded when he died.

In post 957, Save The Dragons wrote:It is also possible that the cylon card has remained undrawn, yes?

I guess my biggest concern is I'm not sure if it's in anyone's best interest, if they were a cylon, to remain on the human fleet and just wait it out as opposed to trying to mess with stuff as a cylon.

wrt fuel is it possible to compile a list of all destinations we've gone to? If it's possible to obtain that without looking through the thread I'd like that.

I suppose I have more pressing concerns.

Also is pegasus still damaged or did we fix that?

Yeah; there's one undrawn card, so it's possible that the last card in the deck is the second cylon card.

I can't speak on what may or may not being in anyone's self-interest.

Destinations so far have been: Tylium Planet (Distance 1, Lose 1 Fuel and the Admiral may risk a raptor to roll a die. If 3 or higher, +2 Fuel. Otherwise, destroy a raptor), Ragnar Anchorage (Distance 1. The Admiral may repair up to 3 Vipers and 1 Raptor. These ships may be damaged or even destroyed), and Deep Space (Distance 2, lose 1 Fuel and 1 Morale). +1 Distance from a mission, and +1 Distance from a crisis.

Pegasus is fully repaired.

That brings us to the crisis:

Informing the Public
Current Player Chooses:
Difficulty 7 Politics +
Leadership

Pass: Current Player (STD) looks at 1 random Loyalty card belonging to any player.
Fail: -2 Morale
OR
Roll a die. On a 4 or lower, -1 Morale and -1 Population.
Activate Raiders, Jump Prep

So, Nugget, do you come clean or try and hide it?

That's a pass, for no effect.

Raiders activate:
2 Raiders at Port-Bow move to Fore
1 Raider at Port-Quarter moves to Port-Bow

Four raiders at bow, take shots at Starbuck, hits on a 6+ (rolled in game for convenience): 1, 3, 2, 3

Jump prep increases to 2 (No Jump).

STD to discard a card for being over hand limit.

LLD puts in 1. Total contribution with destiny is 10 cards:

Popular Influence - 4
Critical Situation - 5
Critical Situation - 4
Strategic Planning - 3
Launch Scout - 2
Launch Scout - 1
Quick Thinking - 0

State of Emergency - 6

Exploit a Weakness - 5
Personal Vices - 3

Total is currently 5: Check fails.
Exploit a Weakness makes LLD choose a human character to draw a Mutiny card.
Personal Vices makes all humans draw 1 Treachery Card, and makes LLD draw a Mutiny card (Unless LLD removes it)
Quick Thinking lets LLD remove one card of strength 3 or less that isn't Quick Thinking from the check and add it to her hand instead.

LLD to pick a card to take with Quick Thinking, and choose a human to draw a Mutiny card, then take a second action.

Quick Thinking does remove the point value, so removing Personal Vices will remove the 3 point malus and the effect, as well. (Technically, you choose the order skill cards resolve in, so you can choose for the effect to happen before you remove it, if you want to for some reason).

STD is in the brig with a mutiny card already, so if you choose him to draw, he will just immediately discard one.

Jump prep increases to 4 (Can jump at risk of -1 Population). Hot Dog gets some cards, then CDB's turn.

Per his CO, CDB draws Politics and Engineering, then moves to Caprica to draw the top two crises. He'll then pick one to resolve, skipping the Cylon Ship phase of the crisis.

Actually, I'm going to call it here. After the die roll is resolved, the fleet jumps, and both options run the fleet out of Fuel, so the Cylons win no matter what happens with the die roll or what destination JDGA picks

The destinations, for the curious, were:
Barren Planet - Distance 2, -2 Fuel
Desolate Moon - Distance 3, -3 Fuel

Both of which end the game, since you have only 2 Fuel anyway.

As should come as no surprise, JDGA was Prozac's partner.

CDB's agendas:
A Justified Response- Cylon. Reveal this card if the fleet marker is on a blue space of the Jump Preperation track and there are no raiders, heavy raiders, or basestars on the board.
Pressure Their Leaders- Human. Reveal this card if the game is over and morale is 5 or less.
Fight With Honor- Cylon. Reveal this card if the game is over and you have at least three Treachery in your hand of skill cards.
A False Sense of Security- Cylon. Reveal this card if the game is over and morale is 3 or higher.

Of these, Pressure Their Leaders and Fight With Honor was complete, the other two weren't, which isn't good enough to claim victory.

So congratulations to Prozac and JDGA on their victory!

I'm curious as to whether this thing could be run better than I'd done. I've seen other forums, like Penny Arcade, run BSG quite successfully, so I'm curious how it could be tweaked to make it run smoother for the players. I don't know that I'd go this route again without some sort of improvement.

Maybe that's the concern. BSG requires a lot of attention, and I'm not really comfortable demanding that people put their lives aside to play a forum game. Maybe it's just not as well suited as I'd have hoped.
