I've been sort of reading along and should probably check out the setup, but wouldn't it be optimal play to just keep sending the same team again and adding the next person in the list until a mission fails?

No lynches, that makes it a bit trickier than I'd thought since there's never an actual flip.

I suppose the first mission always passes otherwise you'd probably just dump the entire first team on a fail. (Well except for the next leader.) So the first team probably shouldn't have been the first three leaders imo.

I'd drop Molla and Jal (but then again I'd also drop BNL so....).

I'm worried about the support for the initial 123 pick for the first team, since the leaders have to be in the group. If there are multiple scum in the first 5 players we're pretty fucked. Mechanically I'm not quite sure how that works, picking

@Bowser and Talah, how do you feel about Jal?

The first mission succeeded and he was on the second, so I don't want him on the third.

However, thinking about the composition of the first mission I think it's also pretty likely that Molla and/or BNL are spies since they agreed pretty readily with that, and we ended up with a scenario where subsequent leaders were in the initial pool. There's almost no chance a leader would not include themself in a mission (I'm surprised that's even a thing actually) so If there are 2 spies in the first 3 or 4 players that makes it pretty easy to get 2 failed missions in a row.

Anyway I'll have to have a more detailed look back prior to voting this time.

If I'm being real I passed the second cause I didn't want to wait another week for mission 2 (selecting new mission, getting that one accepted, etc)

For me it was more about the first mission passing and I didn't see much wrong with the team (and thought we'd get lucky I guess). I'm more cautious about you from the perspective of shoving in the first 3 as the first team O.o

There seems to be a fair bit of agreement with this strategy so I wonder if I'm just missing something here.
Leaders are (almost?) always going to pick themselves and so what's the advantage to locking in the next two leaders as part of the first mission (which typically succeeds regardless of faction)?
Seems like an easy way to guarantee fails considering there are 4 spies and 10 players.

Seems like it might work better face to face as far as actually rejecting missions go. I don't really want to shit up the thread given activity here.
But yeah I doubt we're rejecting on a consistent basis because of that.

Put Molla back in I think (and I don't actually have a stake in this team but I probably don't care to reject it.) Send me, remove yourself. fluminator seems fine. lilith seems fine.

@lilith i just found it odd you didn't say anything about the team from last round even though you posted after the team was floated, then voted against it.

no offense molla, but my gut doesnt like seeing you on a mission right now.

I thought molla's caps-shitposting was alright. It kind of gets a point across.
What would your team composition be right now?

I'm more skeevy on BNL of the failed team due to the support of the first three on the team and same with WTJR.
(*cough* but then again I thought we had 5 rejects total and apparently it's consecutive (and the selection passes on)). Good to know :rolleyes:

pablito was another who liked the first 3 players start so I'd give him a miss.

Did anyone notice that the votes on this mission are the EXACT OPPOSITE of the previous mission? Not sure what to make out of it, though.

Thinking SC, Jal and Bowser are all scum, no idea who the last one is.

Yeah that's... kind of interesting considering the failed mission.
lilith is the common factor on both missions so her presence wasn't a factor in selecting the team (and she is likely town).

Even though SC and BNL would always pick themselves there was only one spy needed to fail. So I don't think they're both spies and I think it's more likely that SC is of the two.
However.
Town/resistance aren't always necessarily correct in voting either but the leader will always (well I want to say mostly rather than always just because of the failover condition and I don't really want to get into a discussion on this further, but it's a consideration) vote the correct way. So this would *tend* to balance out narrow votes. But I'm not really sure.

I think the rejected team is okay in the balance but I'm not sure who else to send and it's currently your choice Jal so...

My strongest town reads are on SC and lilith, so my inclination right now is for: Me/SC/Lilith +2.

Sorry - popping in to prod-doge over new-year.

I voted against this team because I didn't like the crossover of pablito from Jal's team and there's enough doubt for me to not send him and Jelly both on a mission where two are needed to fail. I don't mind BNL for resistance frankly based on his pushing of Jal.

I suggested a team to Jal which didn't include him and added pablito aside from the folks I want in a team.

The team Jal proposed included himself (who in isolation I'd have thought about if the remainder were me/bnl/molla/lilith), molla, lilith, plus SC, plus pablito.

Sorry for not mentioning that before you floated your team and I came back into the thread with the vote pending, then explained why I didn't like it but thought my preference was pretty clear even before that.
Sitting on an unselected team without asking any questions before that, right up till proposing.... egh.

I asked for input before that and waited several days before selecting a team, soo.... yeah I suppose I could have asked for input on that specific team yeah, but saying I didn't ask any questions is a total lie. That's fair enough, but you're just milking the whole thing between SC and I.

You didn't ask for any input on the team you'd send prior to sending the team. You asked for input from everyone, folks responded and I don't see how that input informed your choice.

I think it looks okay because I like everyone for resistance *except* pablito. And we're entering reject-fail territory.
