Whoops I was too busy playing resistance to submit. (I think I loaded the thread at one stage but my internet stuffed up the loading of crap so it was marked as read when I hadn't actually managed that. But in any case I think the best I would have come up with is GRAYED. Or at least it's the best I've come up with over the quick look while trying to forget the given answers.

I hope someone did that (75+4*8)*2 approach in the last numbers round instead of the basic 2*100+8+4
I'd even maybe accept a ((100+8)*2-4)/1 for good measure.
because it's just too complicated doing a (100-75)*8+(2+1)*4 for all the numbers.
