Three questions:
Does Tornado redirect damage that would be dealt to you, damage that would be dealt to a separate target, or all damage?
Ditto for Tsunami's "deal 1 damage" effect; who does it target?
How do redirect spells interact?
Examples for the last question:
A targets B with Fireball. B targets A with Ice Wall. C targets A and D with Gust.
E targets F with Fireball. F targets E and G with Gust. G targets E with Ice Wall.
H targets I with Fireball. I targets J with Tornado. J targets H and K with Gust.
L targets M with Fireball. M targets L and N with Gust. N targets M with Tornado.
O targets P with Fireball. P targets Q with Tornado. Q targets O with Ice Wall.
R targets S with Fireball. S targets R and T with Gust. T targets R and S with Gust.
U targets V with Fireball. V targets W with Tornado. W targets V with Tornado.

It also basically turns you into a glass cannon - i.e. a big target.

I was actually planning to use Lightning Bolt too, but apparently vonflare treated my earlier "tentative" submission as final and resolved the round before I could change it.

^If you do this, I've been creating a revised spell list to address some of the balance issues that have come up in this game; you can use it if you like. I also expanded it a little.

For the revised list I did nerf Mind Control (and Meditate). I also buffed healing/defense and gave each pure-element spell list a stronger defining identity.

Steam Blast is tricky. I don't think it needs more damage, but as it stands it's useless for combined attacks unless everyone uses it. I think I'll make its ability more of an "armor break" thing.
2 random effects: deal 1 damage; restore/prevent 2 health/damage to self;
randomly redirect target's spell; gain 1 water mana; all players lose all fire mana
Fear
E
+
A
Target
If target casts a spell with a target other than himself, it fails
Mind Control
F
W
E
A
Target
You control target's action; this spell cannot be blocked or redirected
Obviously this particular list was made with teams in mind; it might need a bit of tweaking for free-for-all mode.

...That sounds like a really stupid strategy. For one thing, forcefield is a last-ditch defense; it can't stand up to a determined assault. For another, the enemy is just going to ignore the forcefielder and kill the teammates with mana first.
Target two enemies. Their damage is redirected to each other.
Mind Control is not damage; it should not have been redirected.
EDIT: Also, Mind Control resolves before Gust. It should not have been redirected twice over.
