You know, the posts links would still work normally for being direct to the posts, even across threads.
There's just the easy option of having them to write down inside the thread itself, but it will automatically change to the direct link from anywhere once posted.

Also the last game I was hosting finished 16-0, it's not listed in those records as I never updated mine to include it, but I didn't abandon mid game.

Just the one pass per team for the whole game sounds like a good addition to me.
