Spoiler: Rules
Objective
  • To discover the culprit, weapon, and scene of the crime before the other players.
Cards
  • There are 21 cards representing 6 suspects, 6 weapons, and 9 rooms.
  • At the beginning of the game, 1 card of each type is set aside as the
    solution
    .
  • The remaining 18 cards are randomly dealt out to the players as clues.
Suggestions
  • A
    suggestion
consists of stating 1 suspect, 1 weapon, and 1 room.
  • Each round, each player may make 1 suggestion (simultaneously, via PM).
  • A suggestion is
    disproven
if a player other than the one making the suggestion holds one of the suggested cards.
  • The player making the suggestion is shown the card which disproves the suggestion (via mod PM).
  • Only one player may disprove a given suggestion, and only one card may be shown to disprove it. The player is decided by a round-robin "turn order" determined at setup. The card is decided by the order in which they were dealt.
  • At the end of each round, I will announce all suggestions, as well as if (and by whom) they were disproven.
Accusation
  • An
    accusation
consists of publicly declaring 1 suspect, 1 weapon, and 1 room to be the solution.
  • Any player may make an accusation at any time.
  • If the accusation is correct, that player wins the game.
  • If the accusation is incorrect, the game continues, but the player who made the accusation is eliminated (can not make any more suggestions or accusations).
I made the rounds simultaneous and the card choice automatic to improve game speed; let me know what you think.

Mitillos
is the winner!

If it makes it go faster, then I'm all for it. One thing though, in the event the player has two cards, do they get to choose which to show? And in that case, would it be obvious that they have two cards?

No, I automatically show whichever card they were dealt first. For example, Player C is dealt "Lounge, Knife, Dining Room." Player B suggests "Mustard, Knife, Lounge." My PM to Player B says, "Player C shows you Lounge."

Do you have a suggestion how I could make it clearer in the rules above?

I was the one who requested it. :]

Although I'm scared to play against Mitillos and Cluebot. Maybe I'll get lucky with the die.

I'm flattered, but I wouldn't worry about me.

@Mod: Is the player order (for disproving suggestions) going to be static (like in real Cluedo), or will it change each round? Your wording seems to suggest the latter.

Static. Sorry for being unclear. I reworded the rules to make it clearer.

Bump. If we don't get six people by Monday, we'll start with five. If that happens, I'll either add a suspect and weapon, or remove one each of suspect/weapon/room, to make the cards/player come out even.

Wow, I'm surprised we can't find a sixth. Last time Clue/do was run two games were filled easy with people in a replacement queue.

Last time, it wasn't simultaneous. I'll in for a sixth, but with school, I'll back out if somebody else wants the slot
One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.

Great, that makes enough people.

Generating turn order and sending out cards. As a reminder, the standard deck consists of:
  • Suspects: Miss Scarlet, Col. Mustard, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock, Prof. Plum
  • Weapons: Candlestick, Knife, Lead Pipe, Revolver, Rope, Wrench
  • Rooms: Lounge, Dining Room, Kitchen, Ball Room, Conservatory, Billiard Room, Library, Study, Hall
Alternative spellings/wordings are accepted, as long as it's clear what you're referring to.

Aw, we're not going to have a board, Thurhame? :(

That kind of sucks, imo. It certainly adds an element of luck, but it also balances the game out significantly. Without having a board, there's a real big advantage to being closer to the top of the turn order.

I mean, I'll still play. I'm just disappointed.

You may want to reread the rules. There is no turn order. The list announced is the EXACT same as if it were:

For a Clue-playing robot, Cluebot sure is slow.
